A Startling Discovery About The World - We Are All Abundantly Rich - Chapter 1: A Seminar

Sep 29, 2026

Personal trainer Tiger Joo recounts his work with a client, D, who battles weight loss before transitioning to MCAT preparation. The narrative ties physical training to energy concepts and describes D’s MCAT-focused verbal testing and science study. Through researching Einstein’s E=mc², the author connects physics reasoning with a broader spiritual conclusion, presenting a logical chain about human existence, future direction, and a universal being.

You can find more information about me at mywebsite:tigerjooperformance.com Chapter 1:A Seminar Every Saturday afternoon I meet with my client D,who is currently studying for his MCAT to get intomedical school. When I first met D,he only soughthelp from me to lose weight.D is currently 25 yearsold, and throughout his life he was struggling withweight-loss.In fact,he was obese since he was little.D told me many stories of how losing weight wasalways a battle for him.The constant struggle ofhaving to run the weight off,the dieting, the stressof watching how slowly his weight would go down, etc.always impacted him. However, when D and Ifirst met,his body fat was only at 20.5%.Althoughit was relatively high compared to the healthy bodyfat range,D was able to get below the obesity levelon his own—which was a huge feat.So now,his goalwas to get into the fit range. D and I began training around September of 2013.And the guy trained very diligently. He nevercanceled. He always showed up on time,in spite ofthe fact that he would sometimes travel to mylocation in Koreatown Los Angeles all the way fromWalnut,CA.And he showed improvements veryquickly. He started to do pull-ups which he couldn'tdo before. His bench-press weight increased every week.He started leg-squats with me,which henever did before. And eventually, after week afterweek of training, and after putting forth sheerdetermination and will-power,D finally hit 17%body fat, which is the maximum level of being in thefit range. For the first time since he was a child,Dhit the healthy range of body fat.The pride I had ashis trainer was of course enormous. And suchstories always keep me motivated to train morepeople.I have a limitless passion for what I do.Personal training is my life. However, there is more to the story of D.Like I said,we meet every Saturday afternoon, but onSaturdays we don't do personal training;instead,we do seminars and verbal testing for his MCAT.Ifanyone has ever taken the MCAT,or at least theMCAT practice exam,he or she will tell you thatthis test is probably one of the most difficult thingsto ever accomplish in the entire world. And this isnot an exaggerated statement. The MCAT tests yourability to not only understand the sciences ofphysics, chemistry, and biology, but it also requiresthe use of logic and reasoning in order to solveextremely difficult questions. In fact,D always hada very difficult time with the Verbal Section, whichtests a person's logic and reasoning under immensedemands with the most complex questions. But again,D is not the type of guy to give up so easily. Not only did we physically train twice a week, butwe also kept working on his Verbal test-taking skillsto raise his score higher. Moreover,to help with thescience sections,I suggested that D should teach methe fields of physics, chemistry, and biology so thathe can memorize important facts by explainingsuch topics to me. One Saturday afternoon in December 2013,Dpresented and explained to me different equationsof physics that will apply to his MCAT.He showedme how we can calculate the distance of certainplaces by knowing the velocity of a“mass.”He alsoshowed me that when we calculate kinetic energy, the veloci

FAQs

What does Tiger Joo focus on in his work with D at the start?

He initially helps D lose weight, addressing long-term struggles with dieting, stress, and running off weight.

How does the training schedule change once D shifts fully toward the MCAT?

They keep meeting every Saturday afternoon, but the sessions become seminars and verbal testing for D’s MCAT rather than personal training.

What discovery leads the author to connect physics with broader beliefs?

A question about why Einstein’s formula squares the speed of light leads Tiger Joo to research E=mc² and develop a logical conclusion about human existence and a universal being known as “God”.
