2100 Series Tractors - Safety, General Information and Torque Specifications

Oct 23, 2026

2100 Series Tractors service guidance focused on safety, general handling practices, and torque specification fundamentals. It provides cleaning, inspection, and bearing-related procedures, including solvent or kerosene cleaning methods, drying cautions, and installation notes for needle bearings, oil seals, O-rings, and gaskets. It also states requirements for using genuine service parts and specified lubrication oils. A standard torque reference table for nuts and bolts is included with allowable ±10% values across multiple metric sizes and strength grades.

FAQs

What cleaning method is recommended for metal parts in the procedure?

Clean all metal parts except bearings using mineral spirits or steam cleaning. After cleaning, dry the parts and apply oil, and clean oil passages with compressed air.

How should bearings be cleaned and dried?

Wash bearings with a good solvent or kerosene, allow them to air dry, and apply oil afterward. Do not dry bearings with compressed air.

What torque guidance is given when no special torque data is specified?

Apply the listed standard torque figures for the nut or bolt size with an allowable ±10%. Threads should be lubricated with engine oil or chassis grease.
