FAQs

What declarations are required from the candidate and teacher?

The candidate completes a declaration about whether they received help or information from anyone other than the subject teacher(s). The teacher confirms the work was produced in line with the specification conditions and that AI was not used as the sole or primary means of marking.

What performance elements must be recorded for assessment?

Performance assessment records set phrases (up to 4 per skills category) and duet/trio set phrases (up to 8 per skills category), plus a mental skills mark (max 4). Two set phrases performed must be stated.

How is the choreography mark awarded and summarised?

Choreography is marked by selection and use of action/dynamic content, spatial and relationship content, structuring devices and form, choreographic devices, and an aural setting—each with maximum marks shown in the table. A choreography total is then combined with the performance total for an overall component total (max 80).

How should additional assistance beyond the class and specification be recorded?

The form includes a section to record details of any assistance given beyond what is provided to the class as a whole and beyond that described in the specification, with continuation on a separate sheet if necessary.
