The Story

2022 Nova Open Narrative Primer The 2022 Nova Narrative is a four-day, immersive, narrative campaign that is set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe! Players can expect a fun and casual atmosphere that incentivizesa narrative playstyle and hobby excellence, and specifically creates an atmosphere of inclusion and cooperation. If you think spending a weekend with your friends waging a campaign to decide the fate of an entire system is your kind of a good time, then we look forward to seeing you in September! Dates and Times The 2022 Narrative stretches over four days, and is jam-packed with meetings, briefings, and, most importantly, games! These times are mostly final, and if things change, we will update our stakeholders. We realize that there are a lot of fun things going on at NOVA, and we have potential ringers in our Narrative lead group. We’ll make sure that everyone who has signed up has an opponent every round. We do ask three things regarding missing games, though: 1. Don’t skip any games on Thursday. The introductory Warlord game is there for our Warlords to learn the Campaign system and arm them with the knowledge to guide their battlegroups. The Thursday night game is our official kick-off and we’d like to have everyone there that we can. 2. Please limit missed games to 1. As much as possible, please tell the narrative lead at least 24hrs in advance and if possible, Thursday during our first Warlords battle. If you sign up for 8 games but really only want to play 4, then perhaps a different tier is for you. There might be people who would rather play all 8 or 9 games, and we would hate for their Narrative experience to be negatively impacted by something like this. 3. Warlords please make sure your battlegroup is represented by at least one Warlord at each Warlords Council. These meetings determine the course of your next round(s) and decisions generated there are part of the narrative experience for your Lieutenants, Sergeants, and Militia. Lack of guidance coming out of one of these meetings could make for a negative experience for others. Attendance Tiers The 2022 Narrative will be broken down into four distinct attendance tiers, each with different responsibilities and schedules. Players will be required to select the level of involvement they wish to participate in when they register for the event. The four tiers are: 4. Warlords (16 spots) -Players who choose the Warlord tier will be the 2022 Narrative’s Main Characters. They’ll play in every round in the campaign, and will get the opportunity to play in the Introductory Warlord-only game on Thursday afternoon! They’ll also get to attend the Warlord Councils where they will make decisions that will impac
