But if you find setting and meeting your goals challenging, you are amongst great company! \nOn the surface, writing a book sounds easy. But how do successful authors keep writing book after book after book? \nThey set writing goals. \nAnd the \\#1 goal your should set is to get your book finished. \nINTRODUCTION \n© Deborah Wirsu 2023 DEBORAHWIRSU.COM 3 \nThe most effective goals are: \n• Specific \n• Measurable \n• Achievable \nSo, creating your writing goals based on these three elements will help you finish writing your book on target. \nBut for now, it’s time to commit to being a productive writer. \nWhat you get… \nTemplates included with this bundle include: \n• Daily Word Count Trackers (12 months’ supply)—for people who like to monitor the number of words they write daily. \n• Writing Productivity Trackers (12 months’ supply)—for writers preferring to stay motivated by monitoring their daily productivity, regardless of how many words they write. \nDownload and Print this PDF \n• I find that downloading and printing this PDF is the best way to use it—i.e. , using an old-fashioned pen and paper to record your progress. Put the pages in a folder or have them bound into a booklet for ease of use. \n© Deborah Wirsu 2023 DEBORAHWIRSU.COM 4 \nCALCULATING YOUR DAILY WORD \nCOUNT TARGETS \nSet a daily target based on how fast a writer you are, and your available time. \nWhile there’s no fixed length your book must be, there are norms to use as guidelines. Perhaps you aim to write a short, quick-read book of around 10,000 words. Short books are trendy for many nonfiction genres, novellas, short stories, and children’s books. Novels, memoirs, and other types of nonfiction vary significantly in length, so unless you have a specific word count in mind, or need to meet a publishing house requirements, begin with an estimate. \nCalculate Your Daily Word Goal: \nLet’s say you want to write a memoir of around 80,000 words, and you want the draft manuscript completed in 16 weeks. \nWork out your daily writing targets using this simple formula: \n80,000 words / 16 weeks = 5000 words per week \nNow estimate how many days each week you’ll be able to devote to writing. \nDivide your weekly target by the number of days. For example, if you can find time six days each week, you’ll need to write just 834 words per (writing) day. \n5000 words / 6 days = 834 words per day \nBut if you can, for examp","cbCaiqUPjzqZxGfQ","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiqUPjzqZxGfQ","pdf",858851,24,"English","# Introduction\n## Goal-setting for writers\n## What you get in the bundle\n# Calculating daily word count targets\n## Using a simple formula\n## Converting weekly targets to daily targets\n# Using daily word count trackers\n## How to use the daily tracking pages\n## Tracking cumulative word count\n# Using the writing productivity tracker\n## Building a consistent daily habit","[{\"question\":\"How do you set effective writing goals in the templates?\",\"answer\":\"Set goals that are specific, measurable, and achievable.
