Each student (and their families) are responsible for fi nding and securing their own placement for that week. If any students are having difficulty fi nding a placement, they are welcome to come and speak with the Careers Team, who will do their best to offer advice or guidance. The careers guidance team will do their best to offer help in fi nding placements for any students who have been unable to fi nd their own, but because we have limited resources, we expect to only be able to help a few students. \nAs we are situated in a highly competitive area shared with several other local schools running concurrent work experience programmes, securing a placement can be a challenge. Based on our experience, the students who fi nd the greatest success are those who utilise the 6-week summer holiday to approach businesses. Securing a placement during this summer window ensures that your child locks in a position nice and early. We highly recommend not leaving this until later in the academic year; as time goes on, fi nding an available placement becomes significantly harder, as local employers quickly fill their maximum quota of work experience s lots. \nWork Experience gives students the chance to learn about what type of job they might enjoy, and develop their CV. We know it can be one of the most transformational experiences young people have during their education. \nWe are using Unifrog ([www.unifrog.org](www.unifrog.org)) to manage the administration of the work experience programme – for example collecting information from the employer about their Risk Assessment and Health & Safety policy, as well as getting agreement from yourselves for the placement to go ahead. \nSome important logistics: \n● Students need to agree the placement with the employer fi rst, and then students will get the ball rolling by adding the placement to their Unifrog account (they’ll fi nd the Placements tool on their Unifrog homepage-see guide below) . \n● The fi rst question- It is imperative the student chooses an ‘ In person’placement. \n● The Unifrog system will then email the employer, the parent/guardian, and the school, to collect the necessary information and permissions. For the process to work, it’s essential that students add the initial information about the placement accurately. \nExtra help and guidance: \n● Unifrog have created a set of guides about placements which you can fi nd here. \n● To fi nd out more about how we’ll be using Unifrog to set up placements, take a look at the guide ‘ Unifrog's Placements tool FAQs’, where you’ll fi nd a short animation that explains the process. \n● For advice on how to help your child fi nd a placement, take a look at the guide‘ How to help your child find a work placement’. \nNext steps: \n● Approach as many employers as you can across a wide range of sectors to give the student the best possible chance of securing a placement. We also encourage students not to limit themselves strictly to the sector they hope to work in long-term, as all work experience is valuable, and broadening the search will increase the chances of finding a willing employer. \n● Please read the placement guides on Unifrog, and then start contacting possible hosts for the placement \n● If you have any questions, contact Mrs Jeffries, Placement Coordinator, Wildern School, [s.je](s.je)ff[ries@wildern.org](ries@wildern.org) \nWe wish you the best of luck with supporting your child to fi nd a placement. Please do make use of Unifrog's guides to help you. \nWe have also provided a step by step visual guide below to registering your placement with Unifrog to make the process even clearer for you. Finally, we will be running a work experience parents information evening on 10th September 2026, this will be abookable event and further details will be sent ","cbCaiaMvfO1fhDx8","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiaMvfO1fhDx8","pdf",1073736,"English","# Work Experience program overview\n## Dates and placement responsibility\n## Careers Team support limits\n# Unifrog administration process\n## Placement tool usage\n## Required placement settings and form details\n# Logistics and next steps\n## How to contact employers\n## Deadlines and help resources","[{\"question\":\"When is the Year 10 work experience taking place and what is the deadline mentioned?\",\"answer\":\"The work experience week runs from 28 June to 2 July 2027.
