People are picking and choosing – not the same commitment as previous years.
• Games tend to all be the at the same time or consecutive. We could do with Ladies matches at 1030 and 1430.
• L5s cannot play this weekend. May need to pull the L5s out of the league. Will continue until Christmas – will declare as a development team now.
• Captains want Connor more involved in training as the lion’s share of Ladies training falls to Sam’s.
• Junior training: would like Connor having input into U13s too, not just the littlest.
• LB is trying to persuade Lyn at AESG to send players. Need more juniors coming in. | | | |
| ACTION ITEMS | | RESPONSIBLE | DEADLINE |
| • Review coaching focus with Connor – for adults and juniors | | LB | 30th Nov 2021 |

HOCKEY SUB-COMMITTEE – MEN’S REPORT (SD)

| DISCUSSION | |
| --- | --- |
| • Similar situation in men’s teams – struggling with availability to fill adults and juniors teams.
• M1s are not achieving what is expected. The M5s is effective a development team with mostly U15s.
• A concern was raised about the selection timescale in the week. The schedule is as follows:
o Monday: provisional selection, pending training. (We could tell umpires on Monday which teams they are likely to play in to aid personal and umpire planning.)
o Tuesday/Wednesday: assess injuries and performance at training
o Thursday: assess any drop outs and confirm teamsheets on Teamo (and by email/WhatsApp) . | | |
| --- | --- | --- |
| ACTION ITEMS | RESPONSIBLE | DEADLINE |
| | | |

HOCKEY SUB-COMMITTEE – JUNIOR’S REPORT (AP)

| DISCUSSION | | | |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| • We are still getting a trickle of new players
• We have been successful with several East Cheshire entries
• U12 girls did well in the latest tournament
• U15s fixtures are difficult, especially when the clash with adult’s fixtures
• Training: review with Connor, but we need him to focus on U13s | | | |
| ACTION ITEMS | | RESPONSIBLE | DEADLINE |
| • Ask Connor to support others in the junior’s team. | | LB | 30th Nov 2021 |

HOCKEY SUB-COMMITTEE – UMPIRING TRAINING (JG)

| DISCUSSION | | | |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| • Training plan was discussed and agreed.
