This position requires strong design and CSS skills as well as familiarity with HTML5 and information architecture.  \nEssential Functions  \n• Design user interfaces, typography, web icons, rollover graphics, cross-sell graphics, photo collages, animated and static ad, online tours and web pages required to maintain and enhance the 92nd Street Y web presence.  \n• Create online advertising for websites (flash, animated gifs, jpgs)  \n• Create HTML emails for content distribution  \n• Research, scan, photograph create, optimize photography and graphics for the internet  \n• Maintain database and filing system for projects and images used online  \n• Work with the other 92Y staff to keep all web graphics and content up-to-date  \n• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested  \nEducational Requirements  \nBachelor’s degree in graphic / web design and /or comparable and extensive technical website development experience  \nSkills and Experience Required  \n• Two to three years minimum experience in a fast paced graphic and web production environment.  \n• Strong understanding of web standards and best practices for user interface design, as well as a creative eye.  \n• Excellent graphic ability and a portfolio demonstrating these skills.  \n• Meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills.  \n• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, tact and diplomacy to deal with a variety of internal and external colleagues, clients and vendors.  \n• Must have extensive knowledge of PhotoShop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and InDesign.  \n• Adobe Creative Suite, HTML5, CSS and XML, JavaScript and JQuery experience an asset. Flash a plus.  \n• Experience with Kentico CMS, WordPress or other CMS experience a plus.  \nHours of Work  \n40 hours per week, with a 1-hour meal break. Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm.
