One of the work units there is a personnel department that handles staffing issues such as Duty Warrant (SPT) and Official Travel Warrant (SPPD). SPT and SPPD making process manually. This causes such as the occurrence of errors-typing errors in the input data so that the making of the SPT and SPPD is repeated-again and take a longer time. So that all can be done quickly so it needed a computerized information system for handle the management problem of SPT and SPPD at Food Department Salatiga City. This system uses waterfall design method. Implementation of this application development using framework codeigniter,using MySQL database and testing using blackbox method. As a result, this system can help heads of departments, secretaries, and personnel sections in facilitating the management of SPTand SPPD.  \nKeywords  \nInformation System, Duty Warrant, Official Travel Warrant  \n1. PENDAHULUAN  \nDalam era globalisasi sekarang ini banyak perkembangan dankemajuan yang dapat kita rasakan khususnya pada bidang komputer. Dimana komputer mempunyai kemampuan untuk menyimpan informasi yang banyak dalam waktu yang lebih cepat dan juga kemampuan untuk menyimpan data yang telah diolahuntuk menghasilkan sebuah informasi yang dapat diambil untuk dipergunakan pada saat dibutuhkan. Kemampuan komputer juga sangat berkembang dan bermanfaat besar di dunia perkantoran dan perusahaan karena sangat membantu efisiensi dan efektifitas pekerjaan. Oleh karena itu pada saat ini semua instansi menggunakan sistem komputer.  \nSurat merupakan sarana terpenting dalam sebuah instansipemerintah di setiap daerah sehingga penting untuk dilakukan pengelolaan yang baik. Ketepatan waktu dalam membuat SPT dan SPPD harus diperhatikan. Surat Perintah Tugas, yaitu surat perintah yang diberikan dari atasan untuk melakukan sebuah tugasdalam jangka waktu yang telah ditentukan sedangkan Surat Perintah Perjalanan Dinas, yaitu surat pengantar yang dibuat ketika pegawai akan melakukan perjalanan dinas ke kota tertentu. Surat ini penting dalam pengelolaan administrasi dalam suatu instansi karena berguna sebagai dokumen bukti tertulis, alat pengingat berkaitan fungsinya dengan arsip, bukti sejarah atas  \nperkembangan instansi dan pedoman kerja dalam bentuk surat keputusan.  \nPada Kantor Dinas Pangan Kota Salatiga dalam kegiatan perkantorannya membutuhkan SPT dan SPPD. Dalampembuatannya masih menggunakan aplikasi Microsoft Word dimana harus melakukan pengeditan setiap kali akan membuat SPT dan SPPD. Selain itu harus mencari data setiap pegawai yang akan menerima SPT dan SPPD pada Microsoft Excel. Hal ini menyebabkan ditemui banyak kekurangan dan kesalahankesalahan pengetikan dalam penginputan data sehinggapembuatan SPT dan SPPD dilakukan berulang-ulang, dan jugamembutuhkan waktu yang lama dalam proses pembuatannya. Tentu hal ini membuat alur kerja selanjutnya menjadi terhambat. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka diperlukan suatu sistem yang terkomputerisasi yang dapat membantu dalam proses pembuatan SPT dan SPPD di Kantor Dinas Pangan Kota Salatiga. Pengelolaan SPT dan SPPD ini dirancang menggunakan teknologi informasi berbasis web menggunakan database MySQL, dengan bahasa pemograman PHP dari framework codeignitire.
