The plan emphasizes shared understanding and commitment through relationship-centered learning, continuous intake-to-action decision-making, and active family and community involvement. It also details a collective priorities approach that engages historically marginalized student and family groups through surveys, open forums, advisory councils, and ongoing stakeholder input to guide the next five years.","CCSPP: Implementation Plan Template \nCCSPP: IMPLEMENTATION PLAN \nSchool Site Contact Information \nSentinel High School \nTonya Bibbins, Director of Alternative Programs[tbibbins@waterford.k12.ca.us](tbibbins@waterford.k12.ca.us) \n121 S. Reinway Avenue Waterford, Ca 95386 209.874.9017 \nStrategies, Priorities and Goals \nStrategy 1: Shared Understanding and Commitment \nDescribe the developmental plans for ensuring these values are reflected in your community schools work: \nSentinel High School is a small continuation school where the focus is on meeting students where they are at and getting them to where they want to be with the ideal being to have a plan for after high school that allows them to excel as individuals and be productive members of Waterford and the greater community. Students here are often very disadvantaged academically and socioeconomically with the idea of planning for a future of success seeming unrealistic at entry to the school. As a school working with the most needy students, we are by design focused on addressing the inequities in their academic achievements and finding a focus for post high school which is supported by our focus on building relationships with students, families and the community to find the best “fit” for our students. \nSentinel’s core mission is to build trusting relationships with students to grow and become successful members of society”. This purpose incorporates the overarching values of this grant and blends well into our established practices as they are already key elements to our mission. \nSentinel provides a relationship-centered learning environment where the focus is on the student. Decisions and planning for the students plan of action starts at intake and is a focus of discussion for staff, with and without the student, weekly and sometimes daily as issues materialize and are addressed. For our students, each day is a new day and progress is taken one step at a time. \nFamilies and support networks for our students are routinely involved in the plans and progress for each student. This involves frequent contact as the students progress through our program and for their families, it often means connecting them with community resources and services. Sharing decision making with students, support networks and families is an area that is currently informal and unique to each students’ situation. As Sentinel continues to expand its expertise, it is an area that we know we will continually have to nurture as services and networks are always evolving. \nCCSPP: Implementation Plan Template \nWith the smallness of our district and the community of Waterford, Sentinel relies on a number of community connections to address our students' non-academic needs. How to access them is an integral part of our outreach and because we work with secondary students, we focus on walking our students on how to access the services and available opportunities as we ready them for graduation. This is a core part of our vision here-providing them with a well-rounded education that prepares them to access all available opportunities after high school. One of our objectives with this grant is to expand the access and communication between our community resources, celebrating our relationships and highlighting their impacts on our school community while expanding our connections so that we have a diversified collaboration of community resources that can be utilized and shared with other schools within the community of Waterford. \nSentinel’s philosophical roots are grounded in our community and revolve around the core values of the community school initiative of racially-just, relationship-centered spaces, continuous improvement, shared power and classroom-community connections. It is a foundation of our structure, essential to our success and our students' futures. \nStrategy 2: Collective Priorities: Setting Goals and Taking Action (The Needs and Assets Assessment ) \nPart A: Describe how you","cbCair2Cl6DPfgx8","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCair2Cl6DPfgx8","pdf",171176,13,"English","en",105,"# CCSPP: Implementation Plan Template\n## Strategies, Priorities and Goals\n## Strategy 1: Shared Understanding and Commitment\n## Strategy 2: Collective Priorities: Setting Goals and Taking Action (The Needs and Assets Assessment)\n### Part A: Describe how you will engage historically marginalized student and family groups","[{\"question\":\"What is Sentinel High School’s primary focus in its implementation plan?\",\"answer\":\"The plan centers on building trusting, relationship-centered learning that supports students’ progress from intake onward, with decisions and planning guided by students’ needs over time.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the school involve families and support networks?\",\"answer\":\"Families are routinely included through frequent contact as students progress, including connecting them with community resources and services and sharing decision-making in ways that fit each student’s situation.\"},{\"question\":\"How does Sentinel engage historically marginalized student and family groups?\",\"answer\":\"Engagement is conducted through surveys and multiple outreach methods, recurring open forums to review findings, and structured feedback channels such as School Site Council, English Learners Advisory Council, staff meetings, and community events.\"}]","Waterford USD - Sentinel High School Implementation Plan | PDF",1789171706,6,{"code":4,"msg":76,"data":77},"ok",{"site_id":69,"language":68,"slug":78,"title":59,"keywords":79,"description":60,"schema_data":80,"social_meta":136,"head_meta":138,"extra_data":140,"updated_unix":141},"waterford-usd-sentinel-high-school-implementation-plan","",{"@graph":81,"@context":135},[82,98,118],{"@type":83,"itemListElement":84},"BreadcrumbList",[85,89,92,95],{"item":86,"name":87,"@type":88,"position":9},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",{"item":90,"name":10,"@type":88,"position":91},"https://docshare.wps.com/template/",2,{"item":93,"name":11,"@type":88,"position":94},"https://docshare.wps.com/template/presentations/",3,{"item":96,"name":59,"@type":88,"position":97},"https://docshare.wps.com/template/waterford-usd-sentinel-high-school-implementation-plan/241186/",4,{"url":96,"name":59,"@type":99,"image":100,"author":105,"headline":59,"publisher":107,"fileFormat":110,"inLanguage":68,"description":60,"dateModified":111,"datePublished":112,"encodingFormat":110,"isAccessibleForFree":113,"interactionStatistic":114},"DigitalDocument",{"url":101,"@type":102,"width":103,"height":104},"https://docshare.wps.com/thumbnails/waterford-usd-sentinel-high-school-implementation-plan/241186.png","ImageObject",442,249,{"name":57,"@type":106},"Person",{"url":86,"name":108,"@type":109},"DocShare","Organization","application/pdf","2026-10-30","2026-09-12",true,{"@type":115,"interactionType":116,"userInteractionCount":66},"InteractionCounter",{"@type":117},"ViewAction",{"@type":119,"mainEntity":120},"FAQPage",[121,127,131],{"name":122,"@type":123,"acceptedAnswer":124},"What is Sentinel High School’s primary focus in its implementation plan?","Question",{"text":125,"@type":126},"The plan centers on building trusting, relationship-centered learning that supports students’ progress from intake onward, with decisions and planning guided by students’ needs over time.","Answer",{"name":128,"@type":123,"acceptedAnswer":129},"How does the school involve families and support networks?",{"text":130,"@type":126},"Families are routinely included through frequent contact as students progress, including connecting them with community resources and services and sharing decision-making in ways that fit each student’s situation.",{"name":132,"@type":123,"acceptedAnswer":133},"How does Sentinel engage historically marginalized student and family groups?",{"text":134,"@type":126},"Engagement is conducted through surveys and multiple outreach methods, recurring open forums to review findings, and structured feedback channels such as School Site Council, English Learners Advisory Council, staff meetings, and community events.","https://schema.org",{"og:url":96,"og:type":137,"og:title":59,"og:site_name":108,"og:description":60},"article",{"robots":139,"canonical":96},"index,follow",{"doc_id":55,"site_id":69},1791722179]
