It has been a pleasure connecting with so many of you during our virtual programming and Shishi Al Ma’Migrash Friday dance events. Of course, our primary question is when will we be able to transition from virtual programs to being together as a camp community? We recognize how important this Ramah summer is for your family and understand the need for your children to run, play, dance, sing, and joyfully be with peers.  \nIt also goes without saying that the safety and well-being of our campers and staff is our top priority and contemplating how to safely run our camp in the time of COVID-19 is extremely complex. We continue to receive guidance from our medical professionals, the American Camp Association, and the National Ramah Commission, and wait for clarity regarding if and when we can open from the New York Department of Health and the Ramah medical committee.  \nWe anticipate having additional information to share with you on or about June 1.  \nThe state of the coronavirus spread and its related public health implications continue to change. For this reason, we are waiting until the beginning of June to communicate a final decision regarding the start of our camp season. We thank you for your understanding as we determine the best and safest next steps for our camp community.  \nAs we continue to plan for the summer, please see several important reminders below  \nregarding the payment and forms* deadline.  \nFINANCIAL  \nWe have decided to delay the scheduled May 1 final payment until May 15. If you need to arrange for an extended payment plan, please email our finance team. If camp is canceled or if your child has any medical reasons for being unable to attend camp, we will ask you to consider making a donation to camp and refund all tuition payments.  \nMEDICAL FORMS  \nAll forms are now due on May 15. It is critical that we receive the following medical forms:  \n Health History: this form should be completed by a parent.  \n Physician's Exam Form: this must be completed and signed by your child’s physician. We understand that many families have postponed well care checkups. Our medical committee will accept medical forms dated on or after January 2019, provided that we have the most updated immunization records.  \n Over-the-Counter Medication: If your physician prefers to use his/her own medical form template, please be sure it includes permission to be treated with over-the counter medication.
