( Bon-ay-you-toe) : Happy Wednesday! As you all know I was out sick for part of last week, so I’m still catching up on emails and tasks! This, coupled with the state of the roads Saturday morning, meant that I was unfortunately unable to attend the Ohio Student Power Summit in Columbus with Vice Chair Graves, Senator Flores, and Intern Rushing this past weekend as originally planned. Last thing on that note, please make sure to be diligent about using the microphones today as my hearing is poor right now due to a double ear infection from being sick! This past week, I met with two potential candidates in the election/for appointed positions to give them more information on USG and the roles they are interested in. I also had the privilege of attending the VIP Luncheon with Victoria Alexander hosted by the E. Timothy Moore Multicultural Center for Black History Month this Monday afternoon! Thank you to the staff there for the invitation, it was a great program! I also continued meeting with stakeholders on campus in regards to the Nap Pods and attaining funding for them. This project is receiving tons of support in these meetings and I’m very happy to hear that people across campus believe this would be as beneficial for students as I do! That’s all from me for now. I’m so sad to be missing a meeting today but I am so happy to be at the State House advocating for students! Last week was busy like usual with tons of planning surrounding Week of Kindness! The start of Week of Kindness is less than 2 weeks away so be sure to check in the USG Instagram soon to see the full list of events. Be sure to attend some events throughout the week because trust me you’ll want to be there and get a t-shirt! Other than Week of Kindness work I had my weekly meeting with President B and kept up with my weekly tasks.
