Working within the NMC Code of Conduct the post holder will deliver primary health care interventions to the practice population. |\n\n\n| Primary Responsibilities |\n| --- |\n| The following are the core responsibilities of the Treatment Room Nurse. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:\u003Cbr>a) Working within guidelines and protocols undertake and record:\u003Cbr>i. Urinalysis and preparation of specimens for laboratory analysis\u003Cbr>ii. Temperature, pulse and respiratory rate\u003Cbr>iii. Weight, height, waist circumference and Body Mass Index\u003Cbr>iv. Measurement of legs for compression hosiery\u003Cbr>v. ECGs, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring\u003Cbr>vi. Near patient testing e.g. blood glucose, lipids and INR\u003Cbr>vii. Doppler ultrasound measurement\u003Cbr>viii.
