The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Dr. Kenjuana McCray at 6:01pm.  \nCOMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT:  \nMayor Pro Tem Dr. Kenjuana McCray  \nAlison Rogers Kenny Rogers Tiffany Brisson Jevon Thomas  \nCOMMITTEE MEMBERS ABSENT:  \nTown Liaison, Chancer McLaughlin  \nOTHERS PRESENT:  \nKrysten Thomas  \nAPPROVAL OF AGENDA:  \nMotion to approve the agenda made by Alison Rogers and seconded by Tiffany Brisson. Carried without objection or roll call vote. There are currently no scheduled months off.  \n􀁸 Where we have been/Prime Movers Overview  \nThe committee discussed the budget, previous events, and upcoming opportunities to orientate the new members of the team and aid in calendar planning for 2024- 2025.  \no FY25 Budget is $5,000 . Follow-up needed on 5013C before we can fundraise.  \no Some events that were well received by the committee were Family Fun Day (Led by Parks & Rec), Concerts at the Lake, Charitable events such as the volunteering with Alms House, Second Harvest Food Drives, Operation Innasmuch, & National Night Out. Also, Elections events such as Votchella. Also discussed a potential Mentorship or Networking event, a New Year fundraiser. The committee has previously partnered with Fort Liberty Deltas, Hope Mills Zetas, and the Omegas.  \nPolicy FNSB NO. 01.05 Attachment 2, Pg. 5 Updated 04/02/18  \no Proposed Activities for remainder of 2024  \n􀂃 October: Alms House Volunteer (5pm any day except Thursday) . Alison will schedule a date in October. Halloween event such as Trunk or Treat (5pm October 25th ) or move at the lake with Crimestoppers.  \n􀂃 November: Food drive  \n􀂃 December: Adopt a family from Rockfish.  \no Next meeting committee members should come prepared with recommendations for 2025 events.
