Considering where you started off in February, and comparing that to your relationship to critical theory now, write a letter to your future self, touching on the theories and critical approaches that have become most important and informative to you over the past four months. What texts do you look at differently now? Which theories do you prioritize in your own writing and thinking? You may quote from key or favorite passages or reference by title the texts that have meant the most to you. Be specific. Combing through all we’ve been through on the syllabus, make this a “wrapup” of your own. \nFinally, at the end of the letter, address your future self and lay out some aspirations for what you will have liked to accomplish after a year’s time. These may be steps at work, goals in your personal life, or reading and writing lists. Perhaps you want to apply to some fellowships or partake in a writing competition. Perhaps you want to become an expert in ecocriticism. Perhaps you want to try teaching a certain text in your classroom next year. \nTry to write about 1 page’s worth. Sign off with your name and an email address that will still be working a year from now. Drop the letter in your Dropbox folder (if it’s convenient) or email it to Prof. Moy by the end of Tuesday. You’ll receive the message a year from now! \n(If you prefer that this letter remain confidential, indicate so at the top and I will refrain from reading it) .","cbCaimvMV0FgHVrA","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaimvMV0FgHVrA","pdf",30611,"English","# Time Capsule Letter\n## Purpose and reflection\n## Required content and evidence\n## One-year aspirations\n## Length, sign-off, and submission","[{\"question\":\"What are the submission requirements and sign-off details?\",\"answer\":\"Students should write about one page, sign with their name and an email address that will still work in a year, and submit via Dropbox or email to Prof. Moy by Tuesday.\"}]","Time Capsule Letter - Assignment - Write a 1-page letter to your future self | PDF",1789514744]
