It emphasizes that Jesus invites people into a relationship but does not force anyone to follow, while trust in Jesus forgives sins and promises fellowship in heaven. Remember, a parable is a story that teaches an important lesson. Jesus was speaking to a crowd and he told a story about a king who was planning a huge party for his son. It was going to be the party of the year with super cool decorations, games and the best food ever! Who wouldn’t want to go to that party, right? The king told his servants to go out and invite his friends to the party. Some of them said they were too busy. Others were angry that they were being invited and even hurt the servants! One showed up in dirty clothes rather than showering and looking nice for the celebration. Well, the king was furious and told his servants to go invite anyone they could find to come to the party. What’s the point of this story? Jesus told the story to explain that he was the king. Jesus came to save us from our sins. He invites us into a relationship with him. But, some people ignore Jesus, others don’t care about Jesus and get angry, and others don’t really give their heart to Jesus and do whatever they want. Jesus invites us to follow him but he won’t make us do it. \nClassroom Agenda \nBig Idea \nJesus invites everyone to his party, but he doesn’t make anyone come. \nKey Question \nWhy should we follow Jesus? \nMemory Verse \nMatthew 4:19 “Jesus called out to them,“Come, follow me ” \n1. (5 min) Let kids start working on Activity Page \\#1. \n2. (5 min) WARM UP: Describe your favorite birthday party you’ve had so far. (Tip: Maybe it was at a trampoline park or you had a superhero theme. Parties are fun! Jesus invites us to a party but we have to accept his invite.) \n3. (5 min) PREVIEW: Write out the Big Idea, Memory Verse, and Key Question on a whiteboard. Have the kids copy it down on Activity Page \\#1 (if applicable) . \n4. (20 min) LARGE GROUP: Gather for songs and videos with other kids. Then return to class to finish this guide. \n5. (2 min) RECAP: Read the Lesson Overview (see above). \n6. (3 min) KQ: Answer the Key Question. (Answer: Without Jesus, we can’t go to the party in heaven. (The Bible is clear that we all have a sin problem that breaks our relationship with God. Jesus came to fix that problem. When we trust in Jesus, he forgives our sins, sets us free, and promises us a big party in heaven some day!) \n• Bonus Questions: Why do we need Jesus? Where do we get to go some day? 4th-5th: Think of a friend who doesn’t know Jesus yet. How can you share Jesus with them? \n7. (5 min) EXPLORE: Read Revelation 3:20 . What do you think this verse is saying? How do we invite Jesus into our hearts? (Answer: Jesus wants a relationship with us. He died on the cross for us. He wants us to put our trust in him. But, he won’t force his way in. He’s waiting for us to accept his invitation. Putting our trust in Jesus is easy. Just tell him that you’re sorry for your sins, thank him for dying for you, and invite him to live in your heart and be your best friend! ) \n8. (10 min) PLAY: Choose a group activity from Activity Page \\#2. \n9. (5 min) CLOSE: Share prayer requests and pray as a class. Encourage kids to use the Family Guide at home with their parents-and remind them to go online to [pursueGODkids.org](pursueGODkids.org) to find this week’s lesson video. \nACTIVITY PAGE \\#2 \nTeacher instructions: Choose an activity for your classroom. \nOPTION 1: COME TO THE PARTY INVITATION CRAFT \nInstructions: \n• Give each kid a Party Invitation template (page 5) . Have the kids color and decorate their invitation. \n• Have them glue each statement some where on their invitation. \n• As they work, read the story from Matthew 22:1-10 . Remind the kids that Jesus invites us into a relationship with him but he won’t make us do it. Tell the kids that they should pray about who they could give their invitation to so someone else can hear about Jesus. \nSupplies needed: Pa","cbCainsXfECPosw5","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCainsXfECPosw5","pdf",195601,"English","# Lesson Overview\n## Big Idea & Key Question\n## Memory Verse\n# Classroom Agenda\n## Warm Up\n## Preview\n## Large Group\n## Recap & Key Question\n## Explore\n## Play & Close\n# Activity Page #2\n## Option 1: Come to the Party Invitation Craft\n## Option 2: Lesson Review King of the Hill\n# Family Guide","[{\"question\":\"What is the central big idea of “The Wedding Feast” lesson?\",\"answer\":\"Jesus invites everyone to his party, but he doesn’t make anyone come.\"},{\"question\":\"Why should people follow Jesus according to the lesson?\",\"answer\":\"Without Jesus, people can’t go to the party in heaven; Jesus fixes the sin problem by forgiving sins, setting people free, and promising a big party in heaven.\"},{\"question\":\"How can someone invite Jesus into their heart, based on Revelation 3:20?\",\"answer\":\"By putting trust in Jesus—telling Him you’re sorry for your sins, thanking Him for dying for you, and inviting Him to live in your heart as a best friend.\"}]","The Wedding Feast - Lesson Overview | PDF",1790246155]
