Hal ini penting diteliti karena hubungan interpersonal penutur dengan mitra tuturdapat terukur melaluiucapan salam yang digunakan. Untuk itu, mula-mula penulis mengidentifikasipembelajaran aisatsu dalam buku ajar Minna no Nihongo I dan II. Selanjutnya melalui jawabankuesioner dari 40 responden mahasiswa Jepang, diketahui bagaimana mereka menggunakan aisatsu‘otsukare’. Kuesioner disusun menggunakan konsep sosiolinguistik agar dapat menggali penggunaanucapan salam‘otsukare’, dengan menanyakan waktu, mitra tutur dan situasi penggunaannya. Hasil penelitian menununjukkan bahwa penutur jati bahasa Jepang menggunakan salam ‘otsukare’ kepadakakak kelas, adik kelas, dan teman. Mereka cenderung menggunakan ‘otsukare’ sebagai kata perpisahan, walaupun beberapa orang juga menggunakan ‘otsukare’ ketika bertemu denganseseorang. Selanjutnya, semakin larut waktu (pagi ke malam), ‘otsukare’ semakin sering digunakan. Meskipun demikian, penutur jati bahasa Jepang menyatakan bahwa penggunaan ‘otsukare’ di pagi hari dan ketika pertama keluar dari rumah , merupakan hal yang wajar. Salam ‘otsukare’ dapat digunakan pada pagi hari atau sebagai ucapan salam pembuka, namun tidak diajarkan melalui buku ajar Bahasa Jepang di luar Jepang.\u003Cbr>Abstract\u003Cbr>Greetings are one of the keys to striking a conversation. The relationship between the speakers could be measured through the greetings used. Therefore understanding greeting usage is necessary for maintaining an interpersonal relationship. Nevertheless, there is a difference between greetings thought within Japanese textbooks and greetingsin daily usage. Thus, this study discusses the usage of 'otsukare' in Japan, especially among Japanese university students, collected through a questionnaire regarding 'otsukare' usage. The questionnaire was designed based on sociolinguistics concepts, asking when to whom and how 'otsukare' is used. The textbook \"Minna no Nihongo\"will be used to comprehend how Daihatsu is taught to Japanese language learners. Forty university students of native Japanese participated, and as a result, it was discovered regarding the usage of 'otsukare' First, 'otsukare' is used to greet seniors, juniors, and friends. Second, native Japanese speakers prefer to use 'otsukare' on departing. Third, nevertheless, some people also use 'otsukare' to greet people as an opening greeting. Native Japanese speakers consider the usage of 'otsukare' in the morning as opening greetings is not against the rule of greetings.
