\nBut one point of view has so far escaped the atten-tion of the biographer, namely that of the astrologer. \nTo the astrologer a door is open that is closed toother enquirers. He can take a glimpse behind thescenes and note the active power at work.He seesnot only effects but causes. To him there is a wholeworld of interest in the answers to the questions:Under what signs of the Zodiac were the Brontesborn? What conformation of the planets is respon-sible for their genius? How were their successes, their failures, and their premature deaths foreshadowedin the heavens? \nIt is because this side of the subject has not yetbeen touched upon that I have had the courage toattempt to add to the already huge pile of Bronteliterature, and have endeavoured to unravel the horo-scopes of this remarkable family. But in doing so Ihave purposely taken as broad a view of their nativitiesas possible, consistent with giving an accurate account \nFOREWORD \nof the influence of their stars.Minor points havebeen omitted where they did not seem important.Tohave given a detailed and comprehensive reading ofthe nativities would have made the book too long, and would have deprived it of interest to all exceptthe expert astrologer. \nMy thanks are due to the late Mr.Clement Shorterfor giving me his full permission to quote anything Iwish from his books on the Bronte's,and also fromtheir poems. All quotations, unless otherwise stated, are taken from his The Brontěs,Life and Letters.Mr.John Drinkwater also kindly allows me to quote fromthe essay on Branwell Bronte in his Book for Bookmen. \nMr.V.E.Robson,co-editor of Modern Astrology, undertook the task of calculating the horoscopes fromthe large amount of data available. That the workhas been ably done,I am sure all astrologers willacknowledge.","cbCaiewzRQhQnMXz","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiewzRQhQnMXz","pdf",31154903,195,"English","# FOREWORD\n## The Brontës and existing biographies\n## Astrology as an overlooked perspective\n## Scope and method of interpreting nativities\n## Acknowledgements and quotation permissions","[{\"question\":\"What perspective does the foreword say has been overlooked in Brontë biographies?\",\"answer\":\"It says the astrologer’s point of view has escaped the attention of biographers.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the foreword describe the role of astrology?\",\"answer\":\"Astrology is presented as a way to glimpse behind scenes, identify active power, and connect effects to causes.\"},{\"question\":\"What does the author say about the scope of the horoscope readings?\",\"answer\":\"The author intends a broad view of the Brontë nativities, omitting minor points to keep the book accurate but not too long.\"}]","THE BRONTES AND THEIR STARS - Foreword | PDF",1791844097,68]
