The clinical and inter-disciplinary skills possessed by phlebotomists make them valuable and useful workers in today’s dynamic health and wellness-care environment.  \nThe SUNY Niagara Phlebotomist Certificate curriculum and its program of study meets the educational requirements by the Board of Regents in New York State to award a Phlebotomist, Certificate. Graduates are eligible to take a national certification exam in phlebotomy. Other states may have different educational requirements for program completion and certification requirements. SUNY Niagara has not made a determination of whether the curriculum meets the educational requirements for phlebotomists in states other than in New York. If seeking certification in a state other than New York, please review the requirements of that State's Board of Professional Licensing.  \nHandbook Overview  \nStudents have a right to know program and faculty expectations and have a responsibility to uphold those expectations.
