Demonstrate a love for children and a desire for them to know and love Jesus.  \n2. Have had experience in working with young children.  \n3. Possess a high school diploma or hold a general education degree (GED) certificate.  \n4. Be in good health, able to bend, stoop, lift, and physically take care of children.  \n5. Be at least 18 years of age.  \n6. Have good communication skills  \n7. Must be able to read, speak and understand English  \n7. Have reliable transportation.  \n8. Have the ability to remain calm under stress, patience to handle multiple children and their needs and a loving and compassionate attitude.  \nCertification in CPR, First Aid, and AED desirable. Training to be provided within 3 months of employment.  \nRESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill,and/or ability required.  \n● Be present on time in the nursery every Sunday morning.  \n● Be the room leader by following guidelines for diapering, feeding, and caring forchildren as described in the Policies and Procedures manual.  \n● Be welcoming and friendly to parents as they drop off their children to you.  \n● Engage the children in learning activities by sitting on the floor playing with them, reading them stories and singing songs to them.  \n● Assist with the teaching of a bible lesson, crafts and activities as needed.  \n● Attend nursery caregiver training.  \nThis position is very part-time, but there will be an opportunity to work special Intown events that require a nursery, i.e. parenting conferences, prayer workshops, congregational meetings, classes, etc.  \nSPECIAL CONDITIONS: This position is classified a part-time support staff and does not include vacation, sick-leave, or other benefits afforded to full-time personnel. The intent of the part-time status is to not exceed 32 hours per week. Each payroll check will include deductions for the employee portion of FICA (Social Security tax) and federal and state income tax withholdings (if applicable) .
