Make sure to select FAMILY LAW as the case type on the form. \n[www.occourts.org/self-help](www.occourts.org/self-help) \nSuperior Court of California \nCounty of Orange \n Summary Dissolution \n Self-Help Information Sheet \nA shorter and easier process of getting a divorce is called a Summary Dissolution. Not everyone can use this process. Please read the Summary Dissolution Information Booklet (form FL-810) to make sure this process is appropriate for you and to help you complete the forms. By signing the Joint Petition for Summary Dissolution ( FL-800) , both parties are stating that they have both read and understand the information booklet. \n A Summary Dissolution is possible for couples who meet the following criteria: \n• Have no children together; \n• Have been married for less than 5 years (from date of marriage to date of separation); \n• Do not own any real estate or lease any property with an option to purchase; \n• Have less than $57,000 in community assets (excluding cars); \n• Do not have separate property (individually) worth more than $57,000 (excluding cars); \n• Do not owe more than $7,000 in debt (excluding cars); \n• Agree that neither spouse will ever get spousal support; AND \n• Have no disagreements about how to divide their belongings and their debts once they are no longer married to each other. \nWith this procedure you won’t have to appear in court. You may not need a lawyer, but it may be in your best interest to consult a lawyer before proceeding with a Summary Dissolution. \nComplete and submit the documents in the order that they are listed \n1. Summary Dissolution Information (Form FL-810) \n2. Joint Petition for Summary Dissolution (Form FL-800) \n3. Confidential-Party Identification and Notice of Related Case(s) (Form L-1120) \n4. Judgment of Dissolution and Notice of Entry of Judgment (Form FL-825) \nSelf-Help Services has put together the required forms into a Summary Dissolution form packet. \nBoth parties must sign the Joint Petition. When you complete the forms, only one person is listed as the submitting party. This party is the person listed in the top left corner of the document and listed as Petitioner 1 in the caption. \nFile the forms at the Lamoreaux Justice Center, 341 The City Drive, Orange, CA 92868. First, make two (2) copies of all forms that you will file with the court. Bring the form copies and the originals with signatures to the Clerk’s Office filing counter. \nIf you want the court to make your copies, the fee is $.50 per page. You must also provide the Court with two self-addressed, stamped envelopes. \nCourt fees for filing the Summary Dissolution are $435.00 \nYou may pay this fee with cash, a personal check, cashier’s check, money order, or credit card. If you wish to have this fee waived, you and your spouse must both submit a Request to Waive Court Fees ( FW-001) and an Order on Court Fee Waiver ( FW-003) . \nOnce the original forms have been filed with the court, a set of copies should go to each party. There is no need to serve copies on the other party since both parties have agreed to the divorce. \nNote: The clerk will stamp the Judgment with the end date of the marriage. \nRevised 04/28/2025 \nFL-810 \nSUMMARY DISSOLUTION INFORMATION \nThis ","cbCaigivId43QbwF","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaigivId43QbwF","pdf",1959502,"English","# Summary Dissolution Information Sheet\n## What this booklet is about\n## Some terms you need to know\n## Who can use the summary dissolution procedure\n## Key difference between summary and regular dissolution\n## Figuring property value and debt amounts\n## Sample worksheet for separate property valuation\n## Sample worksheet for determining value and","[{\"question\":\"What couples can use the Summary Dissolution procedure?\",\"answer\":\"Couples with no children together, married less than 5 years, no real estate interests or eligible property leases, community assets under $57,000 (excluding cars), separate property under $57,000 (excluding cars), debt under $7,000 (excluding cars), agreement on no spousal support, and no disagreements about dividing belongings and debts.\"},{\"question\":\"Which forms must be completed and submitted, and in what order?\",\"answer\":\"Submit documents in this order: Summary Dissolution Information (Form FL-810), Joint Petition for Summary Dissolution (Form FL-800), Confidential-Party Identification and Notice of Related Case(s) (Form L-1120), and Judgment of Dissolution and Notice of Entry of Judgment (Form FL-825).\"},{\"question\":\"How do the parties file the forms, and are copies required?\",\"answer\":\"File at the Lamoreaux Justice Center with the originals signed and two copies of all forms.
