Name-Employee providing the service. \n2. Description-Service being provided. \n3. Hourly Pay-Employee’s normal pay rate per hour. \n4. Total Hours Month-The amount of hours that employee is projected to work for the purpose of creating the budget. \n5. Employer Tax Rate-The rate at which hours are taxed for the employer portion of the following taxes: SUTA, FUTA, and FICA. \n6. Monthly Cost (per employee) -The dollar cost of the employee’s scheduled hours. \n7. Monthly Cost (total per service) -The dollar cost of all employee’s scheduled hours. \nThe Cost of an Hour \nThe cost of an employee’s work can be calculated as follows: \nHours X Pay Rate X Employer Tax Rate = \nCost of the Hours \nExample \nOne hour of John’s time would cost you the following: \n1 hour X $15.00 X 1.0925 (9.25% tax rate) = \n$16.39 \nBe Aware of Overtime \nUnder the Fair Labor Standards Act, if an employee works more than 40 hours in the work week* (Sunday-Saturday), hours in excess of 40 are considered overtime. Overtime hours are paid atthe rate of time and a half the employee’s normal rate of pay. \n*Please note, a work week may span across multiple months and be comprised of hours working different services. \nExample \nLet’s say your employee John Doe works 45 hours in a work week and their normal rate of pay is $15.00 an hour. Hours 1-40 will be paid at the normal rate of $15.00 an hour. Hours 41-45 will be paid at John’s overtime rate of $22.50 an hour ($15.00 X 1.5) . \nOvertime \nWhat does it mean to submit \nwithin budget? \nSubmitting within Budget \nWhen the costs of the payments you have submitted for a service are less than or equal to that service’s budgeted dollar amount, you have submitted within budget. \nFor example \n• You are budgeted $1000.00 for SCL for the month of May. \n• You submitted $600.00 worth of May SCL for the 4/29 payroll and an additional $395.00 of May SCL for the 5/15 payroll. \n• Your combined payment amount for May SCL would be $995.00, which would be within budget.","cbCaioUTyjpqrIm2","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaioUTyjpqrIm2","pdf",1062398,29,"English","# What we’ll discuss\n## What is a Budget?\n## The Cost of an Hour\n## Be Aware of Overtime\n## What does it mean to submit within budget?\n## Submitting within Budget\n## How to use the Employer Payroll Calculator","[{\"question\":\"What is a budget in this presentation?\",\"answer\":\"A budget is a document developed with the Independent Support Broker from information provided by the Case Manager, outlining CCO services.
