We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced producer to join us for up to year as Executive Producer/Deputy CEO (maternity cover) . You will play a fundamental part in supporting the Artistic Director/CEO in leading this multi-faceted organisation whilst we work to achieve our vision.  \nSpare Tyre's approach is experience-led and collaborative. We are looking to appoint someone with hands-on experience of producing (ideally participatory work), an excitement about co-creation and a strategic leadership track record. You’ll be ready to support the Artistic Director (CEO), the Trustees, the Spare Tyre participants, creative freelances and administration team. As Deputy CEO you may from time to time be asked to deputise for the CEO.  \nThis role requires a deep commitment to the people we work with and Spare Tyre’s ethos. Over our 45+ year history we have changed how we do things to meet the challenges the world poses our participants. Passion, creativity and working collaboratively should be atthe core of your producing practice. We make art with adults whose creativity and citizenship is not recognised, developed or given the platforms others take for granted to address the questions of our times.  \nBackground  \nWe are a leading artist and female-led UK participatory theatre company. For over  \n45 years, we’ve been collaborating with people from groups who are least represented in professional and community arts and culture. We don’t tie ourselves to genres or art forms. Our focus and curiosity is to find new and inclusive ways to realise the ideas and experiences of participants; sharing them with a world that still doesn’t know how to value the views of minoritised groups.  \nWe are intersectional by nature, anti-racist, inclusive, feminist, experimental  \nand planet-loving by choice.  \nWhat We Do  \nWe are known for creating immersive works and long running projects in communities. We especially make sensory up-close small group encounters, and projects in confidential safe spaces. We tour, and we dig deep to take root. We work in person, online and hybrid. Our touring, campaigning/advocacy work and our long-running projects all interact. Working across art forms and genre, the projects are underpinned by the care we take in research, training and time spent getting to know our participants and their support people. You’ll find us in community halls, care settings, women’s refuges, theatres/arts centres in London and across England.  \nOur offices are based in Lewisham, SE London and we have strong connections to East London.
