Students review fine points of grammar, using a review text. Oral resumes of articles from newspapers and magazines, dealing with the Spanish-speaking world, form the basis for discussions in Spanish. Each semester students read contemporary fiction to develop both an appreciation of literature and analytical skills. A conversation text is used to increase practical vocabulary on certain topics, such as travel, sports, shopping, recreation, etc. Throughout the year, tapes are used for listening comprehension. Oral proficiency activities enhance conversational skills. \nTEXTS AND MATERIALS \nREQUIRED TEXTS: \nSpanish 4 Honors \nEnfoques, Vista Higher Learning, 2004 Album, D.C.
