The approach uses a partnership model with qualitative methods and an evaluation framework consistent with individualised focus, inclusion and equity. Evaluations draw on observation, interviews (individual and group, face-to-face and telephone), and review of protocols, producing consensus-based drafts negotiated with providers and collated into regional themes. Training supports teams that include at least one consumer or family member.","Developmental Evaluation Report Summary – South Waikato Achievement Trust (SWAT)\nAt midpoint of certification cycle for community residential services – sensory, intellectual and physical disability\nMethodology:\nIndividual service (house) reports were completed by a range of SAMS Evaluators using a standardised Developmental Evaluation process and evaluation framework.\nThe SAMS Developmental Evaluation approach primarily uses qualitative methods and a partnership model.\nThe methodology is consistent with:\nindividualised focus\npartnership\ninclusion\nequity.\nThe approach enables both a process and outcome focus allowing the Evaluation Team to equitably represent the different views of defined groups and compare the outcomes for the differing groups.\nEvaluations are conducted by teams and normally each team includes at least one consumer or family member as a full team member. Team leaders and team members receive comprehensive training.\nInformation can be gathered through:\nobservation\nindividual and group face-to-face interviews\ntelephone interviews\nreview of protocols and procedures.\nBefore departing a service, initial feedback is presented to those involved in the evaluation process. A draft report is prepared on the basis of evaluation team consensus and circulated. This draft is then negotiated with the provider to determine a final document, including recommendations for development.\nIndividual service (house) reports were then collated to identify themes. The primary method of analysis involved two senior SAMS Evaluators reading all of the reports for each region, summarising the key areas against the checklist specifications and providing a count of broad categories for each recommendation. The themes, drawn from the finalised individual service (house) reports, are the basis for this report.\nOnce summarised, the two overview reports were then read by an independent person for clarity and balance.\nGeneral Overview:\n\u000f\nQuality of Life Domains\nThe quality of life domain headings have been changed from previous summary reports to fit the new evaluation tool and template requirements\n\u000f\nCORRECTIVE ACTIONS IDENTIFIED DURING THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS\nThe letter dated 20 December 2019 from Q-Audit stated that the Corrective Action Log was deemed sufficient and all CARs (Corrective Action Requests) have been closed out.\nSAMS Review of Progress on meeting Corrective Actions:","cbCailSlGu4U054u","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCailSlGu4U054u","docx",63623,21,"English","en",105,"# Methodology\n## Evaluation process and evidence sources\n## Analysis and theme development\n# General Overview\n## Quality of life domain framework updates\n## Corrective actions during certification\n# Review of progress on corrective actions","[{\"question\":\"What is the purpose of this Developmental Evaluation Report Summary?\",\"answer\":\"It summarises developmental evaluation findings for South Waikato Achievement Trust (SWAT) at the midpoint of the certification cycle for community residential services supporting sensory, intellectual and physical disability.\"},{\"question\":\"What methods are used to gather information for the evaluation?\",\"answer\":\"Information is gathered through observation, individual and group face-to-face interviews, telephone interviews, and review of protocols and procedures.\"},{\"question\":\"How are corrective actions and CARs handled during the certification process?\",\"answer\":\"A letter dated 20 December 2019 from Q-Audit states the Corrective Action Log is sufficient and all CARs (Corrective Action Requests) have been closed out.\"}]","South Waikato Achievement Trust (SWAT) Developmental Evaluation Report Summary -
