Objective \nThe employee recognition awards program is designed to improve employee morale by recognizing employees, teams, departments, and managers who go above and beyond the job description requirements. \nII. All-Encompassing Award System \nThe program allows individuals (or groups) at any level to nominate individuals (or groups) at any level. There are three types of awards: \nA. Peer Recognition Awards \nB. Department Head Awards \nC. City Manager Awards \nIII. Peer Recognition Award Selection Process \nA. Employees may nominate other employees and must justify specifically why the nominated employee (or group) should be recognized for an award in a particular category. \nB. It doesn’t have to be within an employee’s (or groups) own department. Employees may recognize individuals (or groups) from other departments as well as within their own departments. This promotes teamwork both within departments and with other departments. Any employee (or group) can nominate at any level up to the City Manager level including permanent, temporary, part-time, contract employees, and volunteers. \nC. Nominations will be submitted to the Task Force. Department Heads will be contacted by the Task Force for validation purposes to ensure that there are no discrepancies or objections to the nomination. \nD. The task force will review and score the nominations before final determination is made. Task force was selected because it represents an objective committee made up of representatives from all departments and associations. \nIV. Peer Recognition Awards \nA. Cash awards of $500.00 will be given to three recipients each quarter for a total of $6,000 .00 per year. There will be a maximum of three awards per quarter. \nV. City Manager and Department Head Award Selection Process \nA. May be spontaneous. \nB. Project-oriented \nC. Each Department Head or the City Manger may choose how to reward and to whom. \nD. Department Heads and City Manager may recognize and award employees from other departments. \nE. Recognition and awards may be to individuals or to teams. \nF. $2,500 will be distributed proportionately to each department based on number of employees including temporary employees with a minimum base of $100.00. \nVI. City Manager and Department Head Awards \nA. City Manager and Department heads will be provided a line-item budgeted amount. Awards, depending on level of achievement might include for example: \n􀂙 Coins/pin, and/or letter of appreciation \n􀂙 Dinner for two \n􀂙 Cash \n􀂙 Department Event (Pizza Party, barbeque, etc.)","cbCaio1TxK9FpHEM","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaio1TxK9FpHEM","pdf",13925,"English","# Objective\n# All-Encompassing Award System\n# Peer Recognition Award Selection Process\n# Peer Recognition Awards\n# City Manager and Department Head Award Selection Process\n# City Manager and Department Head Awards","[{\"question\":\"What is the objective of the Employee Recognition Awards program?\",\"answer\":\"The program is designed to improve employee morale by recognizing employees, teams, departments, and managers who go above and beyond job description requirements.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the peer recognition award nomination process work?\",\"answer\":\"Employees may nominate individuals or groups at any level and must justify why the nominee should be recognized for a specific category.
