So I was surprised with how much I loved these plush, light boots. If I could keep only one, I'd keep these. \nThough it appears as though there's nothing remarkable going on here, the Nation Plus edges out all other products. The shaft is higher. The price is lower. The insulation includes some basic reflection tech. The heel stays in place. \nThe \\#1 snow performer. The design of this boot is unique. A moccasin-like snow boot, which makes it really nimble in the snow. \nThe \\#2 ice performer. This may be the most durable boot. It's built like it will outlast our time here on earth. \nA durable, functional, great-looking boot that might be undone by how stiff they are on the feet. \nThe fur lining in this boot solves one of the problems with slip on boots––it makes them more snug around the foot, and therefore gives them some better traction. \nThough it has some nice features for snow, the fit of the foot is not as good as other options. \nSublime, marshmallow-like interior. But these are huge boots with a loose-fitting ankle. \nThese feel nice and warm, and I think that's probably what Baffin is best at: but the heel doesn't fit and it makes me crazy! A completely average, completely functional boot that is bested by some other models in price and functionality. They have some hiking functionality--a D ring for gaiters and alip for crampons. \nThese are waterproof and warm, but don't excel in fit or traction. \nI thought these were cute. I wore them a lot the week they arrived. But they don't offer much grip. \nI disliked the one-size-fitsall cut of this boot, and the bottom was slippery. \nThis boot fits better than anything else I've tried. It fits like a shoe. As such, walking on and through snow is light and easy. The shaft can be folded up or down depeding on how tall you want it, and it laces tightly to the leg. \nOn the better end of average. The lugs underfoot are a lot like the heavenly, and they grip chunky ice really well. Not a lot of purchase on smooth ice. I do not know why the men's version of this boot has Vibram sole and the women's does not. \nGood. There is some lift with the hell, and a toe and hell bumper, but it doesn't have the aggressive rubber wraparound of some other models. \nThese not only feel warm, they provide the experience of feeling warm, if that makes any sense. The wool lining is very plush against the feet, and feels cozy. It helps the boot fit snugly as \nwell. No reflection tech. Rated to-32C None These feel light. Full flex in the ankle. \nThis is more shoe like. The lacesare round and fit through theeyelets easily, but the plush lining grips and so you have to work it on more thoughtfully. \nFixed liner, with sythetic lower tongue and bootie lining, but upper tongue/shaft/and sock lining is 100% wool . \nA tall shaft with a good snow collar and good mobility in snow. \nThe \\#1 snow performer. A really unique boot, that fits the foot like a moccasin, making it more nimble than any other woman's boot we tested. That snug foot-fit really made this excel in snow, because of how light it was. I found myself wishing it was just an inch or two higher, like the Shellista, for really kicking ass in large snow drifts. But the fur snow collar worked to keep snow away from the inside. The major flaw with the snow performance of this boot is the wide top opening. If you step in snow deeper than the boot, you get a foot full of snow, and you c","cbCaiolBQN0kdBJI","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiolBQN0kdBJI","pdf",74858,"English","# Brands & Models Compared\n## Performance Dimensions (Snow, Ice, Fit, Warmth, Value)","[{\"question\":\"Which brands are compared in the traction and performance notes?\",\"answer\":\"The document compares many brands including UGG, Kamik, Columbia, Muck Boot, Sorel, Bogs, North Face, Lacross, Baffin, LL Bean, and additional named models.\"},{\"question\":\"What factors are used to judge snow and ice performance?\",\"answer\":\"It evaluates snow performance and ice traction, with notes on grip differences for chunky ice versus smooth ice, plus waterproofing, warmth, and overall boot behavior on snow.\"},{\"question\":\"How do liner design and foot fit affect traction?\",\"answer\":\"The notes frequently connect traction and stability to how snug or loose the foot fit is, including whether liners stay in place and how slip-on versus fixed liner construction influences secure footing.\"}]","Snow Boots - Comparison Table - Traction Test | PDF",1791857503]
