The recent Commonwealth-Rutgers Study effectively draws attention to the health, healthcare and socio-economical factors of patients, particularly in the “South.”Although these issues are immense, the rewards of meeting their challenges are equally great due to their effect on our economy to the end that we protect and maintain the way of life which we, as American physicians, hold sacred.
