Introduction  \n1.1. Overview  \nSherburne County (“the County”), has issued this Request for Proposal (RFP) in order to select and contract with a company (“vendor”) to implement an HRIS.  \nThis RFP does not obligate the County to award a contract or complete the project and the County reserves the right to cancel the solicitation if it is considered to be in its best interest.  \n1.2. About Sherburne County  \nSherburne County is a rapidly growing development link between the St. Cloud and Twin Cities MSAs. Strategically located on the northwestern edge of the Metro MSP region, it is uniquely positioned to support the southeast expansion of the St. Cloud area and the northwest expansion of the Twin cities area, having strong business ties to both regions. The County encompasses seven cities (Becker, Big Lake, Clear Lake, Elk River, Princeton, St. Cloud and Zimmerman) and ten townships with a population of approximately 95,000 .  \nThe County’s organizational structure consists of the Board of Commissioners, the County Administrator and 14 Departments. The five commissioners as well as the Sheriff, Attorney, Auditor-Treasurer and Recorder are elected while the County Administrator is appointed by the board. The County has approximately 725 full and part time employees.  \n1.3. Project Timeline  \nThe timeline assumes a set of potential respondent providers/vendors for the County.
