The OPWG ensures that Operation Planning Horizon information and data is shared and coordinated among SERC members to maintain and improve the reliability of the Bulk Electric System.\u003Cbr>Responsibilities and Activities |\n| --- |\n| • Investigate, review, and report on operations related issues as directed by the SERCOC and make recommendations, as appropriate. This includes identifying available committee resources and coordinating information necessary to perform post event analysis after operating events.\u003Cbr>• Develop and maintain an annual work plan.\u003Cbr>• Serve as Operations Planning point of contact for information sharing, as appropriate.\u003Cbr>• Discuss general Transmission Operations Planning (TOP) and Emergency Operations Planning (EOP) topics, as needed.\u003Cbr>• Maintain the Regional Criteria Disturbance Reporting document as assigned by the OC.\u003Cbr>• Maintain the SERC Emergency Contact List.\u003Cbr>• Maintain the SERC Regional map.\u003Cbr>• Liaise with the other SERC subgroups as directed by the OC , such as the Near Term Working Group (NTWG) and Planning Coordination Subcommittee (PLCS) .\u003Cbr>• At the request of the OC, perform Event Analysis in conjunction with the Engineering Committee (EC) Near-Term Working Group (NTWG) by assembling necessary data, developing a scope, establishing a schedule, running the analysis, and preparing the study report.\u003Cbr>• Support the NTWG Reliability studies by reviewing and providing feedback on the study results\u003Cbr>• Report on North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) committees and initiatives as directed by the OC.\u003Cbr>• Perform additional duties as directed by the OC.\u003Cbr>Composition |\n\nRepresentation  \nEach OPWG member company must be registered as a Balancing Authority (BA), Generator Operator (GO), Planning Coordinator (PC), Reliability Coordinators (RC), Transmission Operator (TOP), or Transmission Planner (TP) . Each SERC Member Company is entitled to appoint one Primary representative, up to two Alternate representatives , and any number of Observers to participate in the OPWG.  \n• An Observer is any additional non-marketing function representative(s) of a member company having a business interest in the information presented in the committee, subcommittee, or working group who can join the OPWG. Observers are subject to the same requirements for membership as a Primary Representative or Alternate Representative , including signing the SERC Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) . An Observer is included in the committee roster and may participate in committee activities but has no voting privileges.  \nAll OPWG representatives shall be knowledgeable to perform the responsibilities and activities as defined in this scope document. Representatives cannot be marketing function employees as defined by Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulations. In addition , representatives must abide by the FERC Standards of Conduct and be signatories to the SERC confidentiality agreement.  \nOPWG Primary and Alternate Representatives shall serve for a term of two years but can be reappointed if the business need arises. These terms should be staggered, when possible, to permit the presence of experienced OPWG representatives and alternates.
