The SBC received three budget‐related comments submitted through the University Senate’s Feedback and Suggestions website at its September 5 meeting. These comments and our responses are posted on the University Senate Budget Information page. Topics include F & A distributions, the SSAC, and the President’s Office Special Events Assistant.  \n􀁸 The Senate Budget Committee report “Human Resource Final Actions: FY13‐17” details the impact of budget reductions of the past two years on the university workforce. During this period, benefited instructional positions declined 6. 1% and benefited staff positions declined 8.7% . Read the complete report on the University Senate Budget Information page.  \n􀁸 The Service Unit Allocation Committee met Sept 6 to begin the process of reviewing FY19 Service Unit budget proposals.  \n􀁸 The moratorium on requests for new faculty searches ended on September 7. See the September 19 University Letter to learn more and read the template for Justification for Position Recruitment.  \n􀁸 The Provost spoke about the budget, new space for pedagogy, and VPAA staffing changes at the September 14 Provost Forum.  \n􀁸 The first Provost Forum also featured A team from Resource Planning and Allocation, Student Financial Aid, and Student Accounts Services described recent collaborative efforts to improve the student finance process (see the Sept 14 UND Today story) .  \n􀁸 Future Provost’s Forum dates and topics are listed in the September 14 University Letter.  \n􀁸 Fall student enrollment numbers were released this week.
