You have the right to budget that money and decide how and when to spend it yourself.  \nWhat if my adult home or nursing home asks me to use the Economic Impact Payment to pay money I owe them?  \nYou are not required to use your Economic Impact Payment to pay money you mayowe.  \nIf you live in an adult home, the adult home’s case manager should help you apply for benefits that may cover rent you owe.  \nWhen and how much was the first Economic Impact Payment?  \nThe first Economic Impact Payment was paid starting in May 2020. The amount paid to individuals was $1,200 .  \nWhen and how much was the second Economic Impact Payment?  \nThe second Economic Impact Payment was paid starting in December 2020 and continuing into early 2021. The amount paid to individuals was $600.  \nHow will I receive my second Economic Impact Payment?  \nThe second round of Economic Impact Payments will be made via direct deposit, a check in the mail, or a debit card.
