PROJECT NARRATIVE  \nProject Description  \nThe purpose of this project is to provide construction services to complete road improvements and a new parking area along Sears Ranch Road, in La Honda, California and to perform remediation, demolition and limited site restoration at the Sears Ranch Road House site and salvage one vehicle. Approximately 250 LF of the road improvements are located within San Mateo County right of way, with the balance of the 750 LF of road, the new parking area, the Sears Ranch Road House site and the vehicle salvage site located within the La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve. The project includes but is not limited too clearing and grubbing, grading and compaction, bioretention and drainage, a 21 space asphalt concrete parking area, 1 concrete accessible parking spot, asphalt concrete paving, vault restroom excavation and backfill, erosion control, and installation of fencing, gates, and signs, as further detailed and described herein asthe Contract Documents.  \nProject Location  \nThe Sears Ranch Road Improvements and Parking Lot Installation Project is located in La Honda, California, 94020, in the County of San Mateo, California.  \nProject Schedule  \nAward of Contract is anticipated to occur on May 24, 2017. On site activities are anticipated to commence in July 2017 by which date the contractor must have obtained all requisite permitsand complied with all pre-construction submittal requirements.
