JOB SUMMARY  \nThe registered staff Same Day Surgical nurse accepts the responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care through the use of the nursing process. The registered Nurse directs and guides patient care, teaches ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards. The registered nurse establishes competency in caring for patients requiring surgical intervention of any specialty. The MCRHC Professional Nursing Practice Plan Policies and Procedures and AORN Standards of Care and Practice guides the registered nurse’s practice. The registered nurse also accepts responsibility and accountability for the delivery of care for the Recovery Room patient through the use of the nursing process. Care for all types of patients in Recovery Room with particular attention to the complex patient population, while maintaining professional nursing standards.  \nII. ORGANIZATION SUMMARY  \nA.
