First, information on our Valentine’s Day party has been sent out, and party sign-up sheets are available on the parent table. Then we will welcome a dental hygienist and learn how to care for our teeth with Bruno the stuffed dinosaur.  \nWe will also be starting a new event this month called Book Blast. I will send out more information closer to the start date, and I am super excited to share this event with you.  \nLastly, one of my favorite center events is coming up, the dragon parade! Each class will make a dragon body with butcher paper and we will walk around the school. I have already made the dragon heads to show off! What a fun month we have coming up! We will begin our month by discovering fruits and veggies. We will have a fun sensory bin filled with water and fruits and veggies that we’ll have to rinse off. Next, we will study hearts/Valentine’s Day. We will make a cute lovebug craft using our footprint. Up next, dental hygiene week. We are count and feel real toothbrushes and as we feel them, we will be practicing our fine motor skills. To end February, we will learn about Black History and Chinese New Year. We will make music with our instruments like James Brown and we will stick red and yellow pom poms on a sticky dragon. We are thrilled for this month!  \nHello Older Purple Room Families! This month is going to be so much fun! We will start with hibernation! We will talk about animals that hibernate and build our own hibernating cave using a parachute! Next, we will learn about Valentine’s Day! We will do a fun conversation heart match activity to practice colors. Following Valentine’s Day, we will learn about dental hygiene and fruits and veggies. We will make a fun tooth brush craft and sort different foods into baskets. Lastly, we will discuss Black History and Chinese New Year.
