The community animator works with the Revitalization team to make connections with individuals and groups in Rivertowne and support programs and initiatives that lead to resident engagement , resident leadership, and neighborhood integration and social cohesion.  \nCommunity Animators are supported in their outreach and engagement duties through ongoing training and guidance from staff. Community Animators are required to perform the following engagement roles: door-to-door outreach , lobby and street intercepts, surveying, supporting focus groups and individual interviews. The work will involve going to the homes of residents , or to places where people gather, like programs, schools, places of worship, etc. Additionally, animators are required to organize and support meetings. Community Animators will lead meetings, take meeting notes, and provide written summaries of meeting content to the staff team.  \nActivities:  \n􀁸 Participate in training sessions and meetings as required  \n􀁸 Assist with organizing meetings, workshops and events to engage the community  \n􀁸 Write accurate summaries of discussions  \n􀁸 Conduct outreach to inform residents of community meetings, workshops , opportunities and events  \n􀁸 Highlight any issues to the staff team  \n􀁸 Support programs and initiatives happening in Rivertowne through administrative or operational assistance  \nHours of Work and Compensation  \nHours of work are flexible and will be decided in consultation with the staff team.
