Introduction  \nFor use in the event of a disaster, this document identifies the computer recovery facility that has been designated as backup if the functional areas are disabled.  \nThis document lists the School District personnel designated as the Data Disaster Recovery Management Team. Each individual on team will be provided with a copy of this document.  \nThis document lists the administrative functions the plan will address.  \n1.1 DEFINITION OF ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS  \nThe following administrative functions are addressed by this plan:  \nPayroll records and processing – Payroll records and processing are handled through the Wincap program.  \nAccounting records and processing – Account records are recorded and processed through a combination of Wincap and Excel Spreadsheets.  \nStudent records and processing - Electronic Student Records including Special Education IEP’s are housed outside the district in Hosted Student Infrormation Systems.  \nEquipment Inventory records and processing – Records for Inventory are stored in Excel format.  \nDistrict office processes – District office processes and documents are stored in Word and Excel format.  \nSchool building office processes-All buildings office processes are stored in Word and Excel format.  \nTelecommunications – Cisco IP phone system, voicemail  \n2. BASIC RECOVERY PLAN REQUIREMENTS  \nThe following information outlines the responsibilities of the Riverhead Central School District.  \n2.1 DATA DISASTER RECOVERY PLAN COORDINATOR AND PARTICIPANTS  \nRetrieval of data necessary to resume normal function post-disaster will be coordinated by the Technology Coordinator in partnership with the Plant Facilities Administrator and the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations.  \n2.2 DEFINE TEAMS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF EACH  \nDefine the following teams and responsibilities in the event of a disaster:  \nData Team: Information Technology Department  \n• Coordinates support for data processing resources at the main datacenter and designated recovery sites.  \nCommunications Team: Assistant Superintendent for Personnel,  \nPublic Relations  \n• Alternate voice and data communications capability-cell phones  \n• News Media, Radio  \n• Human Resources elements of recovery and notify staff  \nInsurance Team: Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations, Deputy Treasurer, Plant Facilities Administrator, Technology Coordinator  \n• Physical plant-security, electrical, plumbing  \n• Liaison for insurance carriers  \n3.
