Introduction and rationale of the Study \n(Briefly introduce what the study is all about and its rationale in one or two brief paragraph(s)) \n2. Potential Risks of the Study \nThis study has minimal risks and the researcher does not project any severe risks, however just like any \nresearch involving human participants, any risk cannot be ruled out and it could be through the following \naspects: \na) Public Health related risks; \nThe Ministry of Health has not yet declared Uganda COVID-19 free. It is not as severe as it was a few years \nago, but possibilities of acquiring and re-infection cannot be ruled out. The researcher therefore intends to \nfollow the Ministry of Health guidelines and will have an ear on ground for any new measures suggested. In \nthe meantime, sanitizing, keeping appropriate social distance, and any other safe health related habits upheld \nas deemed fit in specific situations. \nb) Monkey Pox (M-pox) \nThe Ministry of Health recently announced that Uganda has registered some cases of M-Pox. The researcher \ntherefore is aware of this threat and will uphold the guidelines as given by the Ministry and other personal safe care habits. \n3. Research related risks. \nBesides the Public Health related risks, there are possible risks peculiar to this study which can affect the participants psycho-social wellbeing or inconvenience. It can range from length of interview/engagement, undesired memories from your experiences, possibility of affecting your work or family relationship, etc. \nThese risks will be mitigated through giving flexible time to respond/participate, give a conducive environment in responding or engaging, and where possible or necessary, have professional councilors to ease the process. The researcher will also train his team so that maximum professionalism is exhibited, confidentiality, privacy, voluntariness, and other recommended approaches that minimize risk to the possible levels. \nThe researcher will take conscious and intentional actions about safe guarding not only the participants, but also the research team. We acknowledge and take responsibility of this civic duty of protection of people and our communities. \n4. Whom to contact in case of ethical related concerns. \nThis risk management plan was reviewed and Approved by Uganda Christian University Research Ethics \nCommittee (UCU-REC) and cleared by Uganda national Council for Science and Technology (UNCST), In \ncase of any Ethical or your rights related concerns or inquiries, please contact UCUREC Chairperson; Prof. \nPeter Waiswa, 0772405357, [pwaiswa@musph.ac.ug](pwaiswa@musph.ac.ug) or UCUREC Manager, Mr. Osborn Ahimbisibwe, \n[0775737627 or](0775737627 or oahimbisibwe@ucu.ac.ug.
