During my rotation at your hospital, I learned important technical skills needed tobe successful as a respiratory therapist such as how to assess and monitor patients needing aerosolized medications, bland aerosol therapy, volume expansion therapy, bronchial hygiene, and oxygen therapy as well as how to assess and monitor patients with artificial airways requiring mechanical ventilation. In my role, I also reviewed and updated medical charts, performed patient assessments, assisted with and administered CPR, managed artificial airways, and analyzed arterial blood gasses to determine appropriate care plans. However, what I appreciate the most are my preceptors’ leadership and interpersonal skills. They were always attentive, knowledgeable, and willing to go an extra mile not only to deliver patient-centered care but also went the extra mile to help prepare me as well as other RT students to be better professionals. Because of my experience at Los Angeles Hospital, not only do I have strong technical skills, but I also have a strong understanding and value to always provide patient-focused, whole-person care and the desire to inspire the next generation of students to do the same.  \nEnclosed is my resume for your consideration.
