These observations are described in a public and \ntransparent way through Real World Testing plans and reported as Real World Testing results. \nSuccessful Real World Testing means… \n• Certified health IT continues to be compliant with the certification criteria, including the required technical standards and vocabulary code sets; \n• Certified health IT is exchanging electronic health information (EHI) in the care and practice settings for which it is marketed for use; and \n• Electronic health information (EHI) is received by and used in the certified health IT \n(from 85 FR 25766) \n4 \nWho is Required to Conduct Real World Testing? \nCONDITION OF CERTIFICATION \nA developer with Health IT Module(s) certified to one or more of the applicable certification criteria* must successfully test the real-world use of the technology for interoperability in the type of setting in which such technology is marketed. \n*Any of the certification criteria outlined in § 170.405(a); summarized on next slide \nMAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION \nA Certified Health IT Developer must: \nONC-ACB-Authorized Certification Body CHPL-Certified Health IT Product List \n(1) Submit its Real World Testing plan to its ONC-ACB by a date that enables the ONC-ACB to publish the plan on the CHPL no later than December 15 of each calendar year. \n(2) Submit its Real World Testing results to its ONC-ACB by a date that enables the ONC-ACB to publish the results on the CHPL no later than March 15 of each calendar year. \n(3) Notify the responsible ONC-ACB of any non-conformity with Certification Program requirements. \n5 \nApplicable Real World Testing Certification Criteria \n6 \nReal World Testing Plan – Included Health IT Modules \nReal World Testing plans are intended to describe measurement approaches for the year immediately following the plan’s submission. The plan should address any Health IT Modules certified by or before August 31 of the year in which the plan is submitted. \nThis process is required on an ongoing, yearly basis for all Health IT Modules certified to applicable certification criteria. \n7 \nReal World Testing Lifecycle \nReal World Testing occurs on a yearly cycle, but planning, conducting, and reporting Real World Testing \nfor each given year means that a developer’s Real World Testing activities from different years can \noverlap. \n8 \nReal World Testing Plan – Included Health IT Modules \nFAQ: Can I submit a testing plan for the following calendar year for a Health IT Module and/or certification criteria certified after August 31? \n• At a minimum, developers must include in their Real World Testing plan for the following calendar year all health IT certified as of August 31. \n• Developers may include in their Real World Testing plan for the following calendar year any Health IT Modulesand/or certification criteria certified after August 31, but t","cbCainNmMgyn6SMH","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCainNmMgyn6SMH","pdf",1482481,35,"English","# Real World Testing - Overview\n## What is Real World Testing?\n## Who is Required to Conduct Real World Testing?\n## Applicable Real World Testing Certification Criteria\n## Real World Testing Plan – Included Health IT Modules\n## Real World Testing Lifecycle\n## Real World Testing Resources – Plan Template","[{\"question\":\"What is Real World Testing and why is it required?\",\"answer\":\"Real World Testing is the process for demonstrating certified Health IT interoperability and functionality in real-world settings.
