The ideal candidate will be responsible for the supervision of the Quality/Color Lab and perform testing on all incoming raw materials and finish goods to ensure that our customers receive high quality products.  \nEssential Duties & Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):  \n• Organize and direct the daily activities of the lab.  \n• Responsible for conducting and overseeing quality assurance and quality control, collecting, analyzing and interpreting lab results.  \n• Manage all QA and Color personnel to include, but not limited to performance, time & attendance, vacation/personnel actions, health & safety issues and compliance with operational standards.  \n• Test incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods to verify that they meet Sto specifications and fall within process capability.  \n• Knowledge of the operation of viscometers, pH meters, scales, mixing machines and finish/paint applications.  \n• Making color assessments and adjustments for tinted production batches.  \n• Read and interpret statistical process data to improve manufacturing processes.  \n• Conduct process Quality Control and Hygiene inspections and audits in the manufacturing plant.  \n• Responsible for initiating and follow up of Correction Action Requests (CARs) .  \n• Lead Safety engagement activities to include the maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) .  \n• Complete reports including Statistical Process Control Charts, project status summaries or ISO work instructions.  \n• Facilitate and Co-Lead Plant ISO 9001 and 14001 initiatives and projects with Plant Leadership team.  \n• Be knowledgeable of the requirements of the ISO 9001 quality standards as they apply to the laboratory.  \n• Write and maintain clear and understandable Job procedures for the Quality Assurance testing process in ISO-9001-14001 work instruction format.  \n• Maintain clean working environment including clear work surfaces, clean and wellmaintained equipment, clearly labeled storage areas, etc.  \n• Ability to communicate effectively with sales, customer service and occasionally customers in solving problems and providing excellent customer service and color matching expertise.  \n• Perform other duties as assigned.  \nEducation & Experience:  \n• Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Quality Management or related field.
