We help community associations develop and grow to meet the needs of their community members. \nAs the peak body for multicultural communities in Queensland, ECCQ supports Queensland’s multicultural society through community development, culturally appropriate health education and services and by delivering age care services. \nFor more [info visit: www.eccq.com.au](info visit: www.eccq.com.au) \nStrengthening multicultural community associations \nFunded by the Queensland Government, ECCQ’s Community Sector Program supports community groups to build their capabilities to establish, manage and maintain community groups and incorporated community associations. This program develops resources, delivers educational workshops, and offers individual support across Queensland. \nInstinct Organisational Development \nYour organisational development specialists \nThank you to Instinct Organisational Development for developing this content in collaboration with ECCQ’s Community Sector Program. \nThis work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International Public License. While different grants may have somewhat different requirements from the application, most require the components outlined in the sections to follow. \n Unincorporated associations \nMost, if not all, grants are only available for incorporated organisations (‘incorporated’means being set up asa legal entity. This is usually as an incorporated association, not-for-profit or for-profit company, or a cooperative) \nIf your organisation is not incorporated, you will need to find an incorporated association that agrees to be responsible for the funds that you are applying for i.e. that they are spent legally within the terms of the funding agreement, and that the project operates legally and ethically. This arrangement or relationship is typically referred to as an “auspice” \nAs there is a risk to the auspicing body, not all organisations will agree to take this role. Neighbourhood Centres or peak bodies may be open to discussing it. If you do find an auspice, it is strongly recommended that anauspicing agreement be developed and signed by both parties to outline who does what and who is responsible for what. \n General grant writing tips \nThe following general tips also apply to the majority of grant applications. \nTip \\#1 Make sure you're eligible to apply. \nTip \\#2 If there is a phone number","cbCaisKL9poCSKDT","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaisKL9poCSKDT","pdf",382947,13,"English","# Introduction\n## Unincorporated associations\n## General grant writing tips\n## Reading the guidelines","[{\"question\":\"What do grants typically require from eligible not-for-profits?\",\"answer\":\"Grants usually involve an application process and commonly require components aligned with the funding body’s guidelines and priorities for that round.\"},{\"question\":\"What should unincorporated organizations do when applying for grants?\",\"answer\":\"If the organization is not incorporated, it typically needs to find an incorporated association to take responsibility for legal and ethical use of funds—an arrangement commonly referred to as an “auspice.”\"},{\"question\":\"How can applicants increase their chance of success before writing?\",\"answer\":\"Review eligibility criteria and funding guidelines beforehand, and confirm items such as organizational status, geographic fit, partner requirements, co-contributions, delivery timelines, and ability to acquit/manage grant funds.\"}]","Project Planning for Grant Writing | PDF"]
