Studio Lab, Professional Learning, and Partnerships comprise Luna’s programs. The Program Director directs staff to achieve Luna’s mission and meet the Theory of Change in each of these areas, as well as across areas in a holistic, integrated way. The most significant aspect of the role is navigating the casting of direct service staff in these areas to assure high quality, but also to meet budgetary, capacity, and organizational aims.  \nStudio Lab: Currently, Program Director supervises the Studio Lab Manager, helping set the yearlong calendar, working with leadership to establish prices, review policies, and troubleshoot difficult situations. Program Director casts teaching staff to balance their workload between program areas to assure equity, budgetary, and quality goals.  \nProfessional Learning: Currently, the Program Director supervises the Professional Learning Manager (PLM) helping set the yearlong calendar, developing new activities or resources as needed,  \nanalyzing/winnowing activities to continually adjust for “right-sizing” from year-to-year. Program Director guides PLM to cast workshop facilitators to balance quality with learning opportunities and staff interest and judiciously bring in guests as needed. Program Director reviews evaluation reports (including for grants) written by PLM and creates and analyzes evaluation tools for all PL activities.  \nPartnerships: Program Director manages all contracts with Luna partners, works with leadership team to determine appropriate partners and set goals and Scopes of Work (SOW) for each. Program Director casts teaching staff to balance their workload between program areas to assure equity, budgetary, and quality goals. Program Director supervises partner leads at each site, troubleshooting where necessary; observes teaching artists to assure quality and provides professional development as needed. Director creates evaluation tools and analyzes for each program area, synthesizes and writes partner reports (or assigns and reviews) for grants and contract agreements, and assesses appropriateness of potential partners.  \nIntersections: Program Director works with the entire team to coordinate program efforts to recognize and establish resources that cross programs, create opportunities for leadership development, and cross train/cross promote.
