You can utilize these two classes and also add new classes if you have unique pricing for specific customers or groups of customers. Most wineries will simply use the default customer classes. \nFor those classes, you will want to select the “Business2” invoice format. It is a streamlined and generally preferred over our original format. \nSet up class level pricing for all your wines and other items. \nFor each of your wines you wish to sell to Wholesale or Distributor customers, you will want to use set prices and not the standard discount percentage. The reasons for this are: 1) These customers generally prefer seeing just their net price and not any type of discount, and 2) The price is more easily modified if you wish to provide an alternative price on a given order. \nBelow is a typical configuration for this type of product. \nCreate Zone Based Rule(s) for Winery Delivery \nMany wineries prefer to deliver wines themselves to Wholesale or Distributor customers. This is easy to facilitate. First, you need to turn on Custom Zone Shipping Rates, if you have not already. \nThen create an approprate Zone, Type and Rule. If you are already using Zone Based rates, then you will typically need to just create a Type for “Winery Delivery” and a rule. Below are screen shots of how these should be set up. \nThen create one or more rules as needed. If you only sell 750s to these customers, then only one rule is needed as shown below. \nThe final step is to contact OrderPort Support and ask us to modify your WebStore so that Winery Delivery does not show up as a shipping option. Otherwise you might end up with a lot of wine to deliver for free! \nApproval of PO Orders \nIn Customer Service we provide the option to choose whether or not you wish to require approval of every order provided on terms (PO) before it goes to fulfillment. This setting is in the Settings tab in Customer Service. Many wineries prefer to turn off this functionality. \nOperations \nAccount Creation \nAccounts should be set up ahead of time in Admin so they can be marked as non-taxable. You can then also enter the customers UBI if you desire, or other information unique to wholesale and distributor customers. \nSome Wholesale and Distributor accounts don’t want email receipts or account access. If that is the case, then you should use a fictitious email address [like abcrestaurant@yourwinerydomain.com](like abcrestaurant@yourwinerydomain.com). \nCreating Orders in Admin Cart \nAdmin Cart is the preferred tool for placing wholesale and distributor orders. The basic workflow looks like this. \n1. Open Admin Cart \n2. Select customer \n3. Add items to cart \n4. Go to check out \n5. Select delivery method (shipping, pick up or delivery) \n6. Select “ship from location” or “pick up location”. This determines where the inventory will be deducted, so this is an important selection. \n7. Select payment method. The most common method for wholesale and distributor orders is Purchase Order. \no Choose your payment term. The most common payment term is “Net 30”, which requires full payment within 30 days. Payment terms can be added and modified in OrderPort Admin=>Payment Processing=>Payment Terms. \no Enter PO number \n8. Complete the order. The customer will receive an order confirmation email unless you choose to suppress it. \nRecording Payment Against Purchase Orders \nIf you selected Purchase Order as your payment method, then you will need record payment when you receive it. The steps are as follows: \n1. Open the Customer Service module. \n2. Search for your order. \n3. Open the order. \n4.
