This is to ensure that authors meet the basic requirements for each type of paper prior to submission, making for a smoother and more time efficient peer review process.  We therefore ask all authors to ensure that their manuscripts adhere to the relevant criteria before submission.\nBefore using the below template, please read the \u0013 HYPERLINK \"https://www.tandfonline.com/action/journalInformation?show=aimsScope&journalCode=rart20\" \u0014Aims & Scope\u0015 to gain an overview and assess if your manuscript is suitable for this journal.\nResearch Paper Template\nThis research paper template should only be used to: report the results of original systematic art therapy research; assess the contribution of these results to the body of knowledge in the field; and suggest the implications of this research for art therapy practice, policy and further research. When appropriate, submissions of co-produced papers written with rather than about service users are encouraged.\nWord Count (3500 – 7000 words max): The maximum 7000 words is inclusive of tables, figure captions, footnotes, endnotes, however the abstract, plain language summary and references are excluded from the word count.\nEthics:  Participants/service users must have signed an informed consent form giving the author/s permission to publish their artwork, words and clinical content.  The author/s must also ensure that confidentiality and anonymity are maintained within their paper as agreed with service users. Please refer to service users by pseudonyms where appropriate.
