The team was tasked to create a template for SSH members to utilize as a foundation for the creation of their own policy and procedure manual. \nThis manual outlines commonly accepted practices and serves as a general model for simulation programs to follow when developing their policy and procedure manual. Core topics are outlined, and each topic includes a brief description to assist in understanding the potential application. \nWhen using this template, programs should feel free to edit, add to or omit topics depending on the specific needs of their organization. The result will be a customized “Policy and Procedure Manual”addressing fundamental issues to efficiently and effectively operate a simulation program. \nAuthor Acknowledgements \nLead Author \n• Thomas Dongilli AT, FSSH, CHSOS \nDirector of Operations – WISER \nDirector of Inpatient Crisis Response System Evaluation Program-UPMC \nAdministrator-University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology \nContributing Authors \n• Jesika Gavilanes, MA \nOperations Director, Mark Richardson Interprofessional Simulation Center (MRISC) Vice Co-Chair, ACS AEI Administration and Management Committee \nMember, SSH Governance Committee \n• Ilya Shekhter CHSE \nDirector of Simulation Operations \nUniversity of Miami \nJackson Memorial Hospital Center for Patient Safety \n• Adam Kukic \nDirector of Administration – WISER \nUniversity of Pittsburgh Medical Center \n• Jeanette Wong, RN, MPA, CHSE \nDirector, Health Sciences Simulation Center \nAssistant Professor \nSamuel Merritt University \n• Valerie Howard, EdD, RN, CNE, ANEF, FAAN Duke University School of Nursing Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Professor of Nursing \n• Kris Hara, M.Ed., B.A.S., RRT, CHSOS Operations Director, Chief Simulation Specialist SimTiki Simulation Center \nJohn A.
