Its purpose is to establish a more efficient educational plant for the children and patrons of Webbers Falls School District I-006. \nBecause the federal government and the State of Oklahoma are constantly revising, eliminating, and originating laws pertinent to schools, the Board of Education feels a responsibility to its patrons to try to maintain a policy book that is up-to-date on these laws. Every reasonable effort will be made to keep this book up to date. \nThe Webbers Falls Public School system wishes always to support an open-door policy encouraging all interested in education--students, faculty, parents, administration, board, community--to feel free to sit down together and discuss any matters related to obtaining the best possible instruction for this area’s youth. \nMost of the items within this policy book do not contain the specific laws which dictated the policies but interested patrons should feel free to ask about precedents for these policies, and in doing so, become better aware of the dictates which the local board must follow. \nWe all are interested in quality education for our youth, and in that interest this policy book is submitted. \nREVISED July 2018 \nAdopted by the Board of Education July 2018 \nLEGITIMACY \nAny legislative act, Oklahoma State Department of Education ruling, or court decision which makes any part of this policy unlawful will only affect that particular section and will in no way make inactive the rest ofthis policy handbook. \nNOTICE OF NON-DISCRIMINATION \nNOTE TO THE READER \nRELATIONSHIP TO THESTATE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM \nEDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION \nOBJECTIVES OF EDUCATION \nSECTION 100–BOARD OF EDUCATION: \nCOMPOSITION OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION ...........................................................100.1 \nOFFICERS OF THE BOARD AND THEIR DUTIES ............................................................100.2 \nMEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION .................................................................100.3 \nWORKING PRINCIPLES AND PROCEDURES OF THE BOARD.........................................100.4 \nFUNDS MANAGEMENT ..................................................................................................100.5 \nFinances \nPurchasing \nACTIVITY FUNDS ..........................................................................................................100.6 \nSCHOOL-HOURS POLICY..............................................................................................100.7 \nSECTION 200–ALL DISTRICT EMPLOYEES: \nEXPECTATIONS OF EMPLOYEES...................................................................................200.1 \nLeaving School \nOffice Usage \nTelephones \nAbsenteeism \nCustodial Needs \nSmoking Prohibited \nAccuracy of Information \nWeapons and Firearms Prohibited \nCRIMINAL HISTORY RECORDS CHECK .......................................................................200.2 \nDRUG-FREE WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS ................................................................200.3 \nFAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE ....................................................................................200.4 \nEMPLOYEES INFECTED WITH AIDS ............................................................................200.5 \nSICK LEAVE DONATION ...............................................................................................200.6 \nSEXUAL HARASSMENT .................................................................................................200.7 \nPOLICY HANDBOOKS....................................................................................................200.8 \nEMPLOYEE USE OF DISTRICT PROPERTY....................................................................200.9 \nTRAVEL/EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT ............","cbCaia9ZKyxsqG63","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaia9ZKyxsqG63","pdf",1688296,279,"English","# Preface\n## Revised and adopted dates\n# Legitimacy\n# Notice of non-discrimination\n# Note to the reader\n# Relationship to the State Educational System\n# Educational philosophy of the Board of Education\n# Objectives of education\n# SECTION 100 -
