We also hope that the manual will be a practical resource to those exercising stewardship over the buildings entrusted to them.  \nEach parish/agency has a significant investment in its facilities. Good stewardship mandates that these facilities be managed to keep them operational in the most efficient manner. For the longterm management of facilities, it is recommended that an historical record for each building be established. This is accomplished by first identifying and then planning for routine, annual or seasonal maintenance and repairs and projecting future capital and deferred maintenance requirements.
