Remember, according to OSHA’s hierarchy of controls, personal protective equipment (PPE) is the last line of defense against occupational hazards. Every employer’s aim should be to eliminate or substantially reduce employee hazards using engineering and work practice controls first, before using PPE (e.g. respirators). However there is some flexibility in regards to the content of those policies and procedures. Your paramount goal as an employer is to develop a site-specific RPP that can be effectively implemented and maintained on an annual basis.\nThere are places throughout this template where you (the employer) will need to fill in a blank or change a generic placeholder (such as ABC Dental Office) to customize it to your establishment.
