This version is almost three times the size of the last public release in 2016. It reflects the changing intelligence needs of our clients in both the public and private sector, as well as the many areas we have been active in over the past two years. \nNo list of OSINT tools is perfect, nor is it likely to be complete. Indeed, such is the pace of change that by the time you read this document some of our suggestions may have been surpassed or have ceased to exist. Regrettably, today's tool might also be tomorrow's vulnerability. \nTo counter the first problem, we have included a list of toolkits provided by other OSINT practitioners working to improve the state-of-the-art. To manage the second, we recommend that all tools be tested in a secure computing environment whenever possible. \nWork on the next iteration of the Handbook has already begun. For now, I hope this version contributes to improving your efficiency and effectiveness as a researcher, analyst, investigator or general OSINT practitioner. Please feel free to share it with your colleagues. To encourage its broadest possible dissemination, we are publishing the Handbook under a Creative Commons CC BY License. \nI would like to end by thanking my colleagues at i-intelligence for their efforts in compiling the Handbook. Particular credit is due to Aleksandra Bielska who led the project and has coordinated the inputs from different contributors. I am also indebted to Natalie Anderson of Mercyhurst University for her excellent research and for the time spent checking these links. Kris Wheaton and Brad Gleason from Mercyhurst’s Department of Intelligence Studies are also thanked for their support. \nFinally, I would like to thank our community of followers on Twitter for sharing their recommendations with us, as well as the many practitioners who have suggested new tools to us while participating in our courses. \nChris Pallaris \nDirector, i-intelligence GmbH \nTable of Contents \nForeword .............................................................................................................................. 2 \nSearch................................................................................................................................... 9 \nGeneral Search.................................................................................................................. 9 \nMeta Search .................................................................................................................... 11 \nVisual Search and Clustering Search Engines .................................................................. 12 \nNational Search Engines ................................................................................................. 13 \nCode Search ................................................................................................................... 16 \nFTP Search ...................................................................................................................... 17 \nSimilar Sites Search ......................................................................................................... 18 \nIoT Search Engines.......................................................................................................... 19 \nKids-Friendly Search Engines .......................................................................................... 20 \nOther Specialty Search Engines ...................................................................................... 21 \nOther Search Engines and Tools ..................................................................................... 23 \nSocial Media .............................","cbCaitk5bfZlrx2Z","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaitk5bfZlrx2Z","pdf",3855901,327,"English","# Foreword\n# Search\n## General Search\n## Meta Search\n## Visual Search and Clustering Search Engines\n## National Search Engines\n## Code Search\n## FTP Search\n## Similar Sites Search\n## IoT Search Engines\n## Kids-Friendly Search Engines\n## Other Specialty Search Engines\n## Other Search Engines and Tools\n# Social Media\n## Major Social Networks\n## Real-Time Search, Social Media Search, and General Social Media Tools\n## Social Media Tools: Twitter\n## Social Media Tools: Facebook\n## Social Media Tools: Google+\n## Social Media Tools: Instagram\n## Social Media Tools: Pinterest\n## Social Media Tools: Reddit\n## Social Media Tools: VKontakte\n## Social Media Tools: Tumblr\n## Social Media Tools: LinkedIn\n## Social Media Tools: Snapchat\n## Social Media Tools: WhatsApp\n## Social Media Tools: Skype\n## Social Media Tools: Telegram\n# Other Instant Messaging and Chat Tools","[{\"question\":\"Why does the handbook stress that OSINT tool lists can become outdated quickly?\",\"answer\":\"The foreword notes that the pace of change is so fast that suggestions may be surpassed or cease to exist by the time readers use the document.
